Staff and facilities were great! The room was comfortable and organized! We would love to stay at this location in the future! The hotel was located in a great location! Staff and the manager were very respectful!
We selected this property because it was close to Novant Clemmons Medical Center. While it was close, we would have driven further to a better property. The room had a king bed, pillows terrible, floor was dirty (needed mopping). The phone in the room was cut off and I advised the front desk 3 times - we stayed (2) two nights - they never cut it on. What if there had been an emergency?? No breakfast, not even a packaged muffin. Front desk employees were hard to understand.
Decided to try this place despite all the bad reviews. Was able to get early check in (at 2PM) which was a plus. Check in took a loooooooong time. Be prepared for a wait. Room looked very clean. Shower pressure could be better. No bath mat. Only one soap which I needed for handwashing so it was a good thing I brought my own backup body wash. AC worked well. Water faucet was hard to shut off to stop it from dripping. Could only go in through the front entrance which got a bit creepy with their family members sitting and hanging out in the lobby. The exterior door at the end of the hall would not open at all from the outside. It was tough to push open from the inside to leave. The first night at 11PM there were loud voices outside. Slamming doors. Yelling inside at midnight. Woke up to someone yelling in the hallway at 7AM. Found that my do not disturb sign magically disappeared overnight. Right as I was leaving, the front desk called and said the water would be off for a couple hours. Good thing I had already gotten dressed and was ready to go. Got back to the room around 5PM and they cleaned it since there was no do not disturb sign. Didn’t give me a new sign. I knew I should have left a note on the door as I do NOT want anyone in my room during a pandemic. But I’m pretty sure they did this on purpose so they can snoop in your room. The second night someone had been talking loudly, almost yelling, outside my window for over an hour. Had a hard time sleeping. Went to bed around 11PM and people were being loud. This really is not the best place if you need your rest. I had the AC going and it just did not drown out the loud voices.…
The staff were rude and at times hostile. I only stayed here for one night before going to another city because it was easier to do that than put up with these people. They had signs all over the hotel threatening fines for "infractions" such as letting a guest come over. Seriously? The place didn't seem clean, and the towels were badly worn. Breakfast was closed, so I can't comment on that.
Both rooms unable to be used. Moved us to other rooms. No hot water for shower. Toilets in both new rooms dirty but al least they weren’t full of pooh like first room. No breakfast. Blamed it on city. Every restaurant in city is now open. Towels I’d be ashamed to have in my garage.
