Everyone at University Inn are so friendly & helpful. From the front desk people, Brian Katie, Latoya& Judy( I believe that's her name, night clerk), all were so considerate with my husband being taking care of at Duke. They run their shuttle till 9:00 pm unlike Comfort Inn that stops at 3:30, & doesn't run all the time. Even in...

From the friendly staff to the clean environment, I felt safe and quite comfortable at this facility. Parking was slways available despite the small lot. Coffee in the room was full favor and I didn't participate in the complementary daily breakfast. However I did pick up a local newspaper. Thank you

This is very convenient if you have appointments or are visiting at Duke Medical Center. It doesn't look very fancy from the outside, but the rooms are large with fridge and microwave, affordable (especially with medical rate), clean and comfortable. There is a complimentary light breakfast until 10:30 am (cereal, yogurt, pastry) and coffee all day in addition to coffee...

Pros - location is very good for visiting student at Duke university, and hotel seems to offer lowest prices in the area. Rooms are large. Cons - no real breakfast option, lack of professionalism in staff and tight parking conditions.

We spent one night at University Inn and found it to be comfortable and clean. The staff were friendly and helpful! The shuttle service was a real plus! We would recommend it to anyone visiting the Duke University/Hospital area. Continental breakfast is limited.

Spent one night, already impressed with the size of the room and amenities included. Had two dbl beds, very large recliner, sofa bed, fridge (college size), microwave and teeny coffee maker. Nice to have a counter for the appliances. Wifi was seamless. Bathroom difficult to get into due to size of door and tight fit of toilet/bath area. Generous sink/closet...

As mentioned elsewhere, the University Inn is not a typical hotel. I was in town on vacation but most folks here seemed involved with one of the many Duke hospitals. So it's not fancy, but my king bed room is one of the largest hotel rooms I've ever had. The washer and dryer were welcomed after a couple of weeks...
