The historic house has a lot of charm and the location couldn't be better to explore Edenton. The town is an adorable waterfront town with lots of charm and the locals are very sweet and welcoming to tourist. The house is within walking distance of everything, the farmers market, the little downtown, restaurants, shops and waterfront. Our room was very clean and had everything we need. The room could use some updating, paint touch up etc. The breakfast is delicious and is served downstairs in the dining room. I did felt however somewhat rushed at breakfast, as it appears they want to get you in and out ASAP as they waste no time collecting plates. Coffee is provided in the hallway before breakfast, water and cookies are left out during the day. They have wine for purchase which is a nice service to offer. We paid $130 a night for our room which included breakfast for 2. We felt it was an amazing value,as they could easier charge more. I would definitely recommend this place and would stay again. It's a perfect small, waterfront town, without the crowds, if you want to unwind and slow down.

We thoroughly enjoyed our 2 night stay in the Captain's Quarter Bed and Breakfast. Our room was wonderful. the breakfasts were superb and having excellent coffee right our side our door first thing in the morning was a a nice touch. The location is within walking distance to so many of the key attractions and restaurants and the large porch is a delightful place to sit and relax. The owners work endlessly to make sure everything goes well. We will definitely go back.

We have stayed at this Inn back in 2005 and it was great so when we needed to return to Edenton this was the Inn of choice. The Inn had not changed much but there were some changes. We checked in about 3 PM and were shown to our room which was clean and nice. The bed was comfortable and provided a good night's sleep. Unfortunately, during the first night, the room temperature dropped to 66 degrees which was a bit too cold for my liking. In all fairness, the second night's temperature was much better around 70 degrees. The breakfast is limited to one offering, you have no choices. That was a change from 2005. I had some difficulty with Dan to get eggs instead of pancakes. So make sure they know in advance that there is a diet restriction. Dianne is a professionally trained chef from Johnson and Wales and she is a good chef. I was hoping to partake in one of here dinner meals but due to covid, that was not possible. The biggest change that I notice is that both Dan and Diane are burned out in this business. It really shows in Dan's approach to people and his attitude. This is not a criticism just an observation.

We stayed two nights and enjoyed the stay. The room and bed were comfortable. Breakfast was excellent and is served from 8-9am. It was enjoyable to sit on the front porch and watch the people and cars. The town is a short distance with good restaurants.

We stayed on the second floor in Captain Quarters #3 with the large tub and king size bed. We only stayed one night but the room and bathroom were very nice and comfortable. Only a few blocks to shops and restaurants and the water. Very peaceful sitting on the porch. The breakfast was to die for. We did arrive on a Sunday and the town of Edenton pretty much shuts down (including restaurants) More an awareness for anyone traveling.
