Found this place in internet the day before but did not make a reservation as they seemed to have many rooms available for next night. So, we just ringed their door bell next day and experienced overwhelming welcome from the owners. Lot's of background info about the house and absolutely fantastic hospitality. We were shown the premises which are fabulous...

The grounds and the main house are absolutely beautiful! There are many sitting and gathering areas on the grounds, as well as a pool and hammock to nap in. It is a short walk to the waterfront. The bedrooms are beautiful and the bed was so comfortable I did not want to get up, but when I did I was...

We rented out the entire property for the weekend for our daughter's wedding. All of our family came from out of town and most of them stayed at Culpepper Inn for the weekend. We also held the rehearsal dinner and reception at Culpepper Inn. Everything was beautiful and exceeded expectations. We highly recommend Culpepper Inn for your event.

Trip was in conjunction with a funeral. So, it wasn't a pleasure trip. But, the Culpepper Inn provided a pleasant diversion to the solemn activities. It was well maintained and within walking distance to the center of Elizabeth City. The breakfast was delicious and the price was reasonable. I hope to return under more pleasant circumstances.

Room was amazing! Little extra details, such as a flashlight in the room. Comfortable, elegant and we felt as if we were home. Best night sleep's away from our own home in a long while! The way the B&B was decorated and welcoming. Information about local things given verbally and written down. Tour of entire grounds was great and lots...

Everything about the Culpepper property is well done! Communication prior to check in was timely and the hosts were very helpful in accommodating our request to park early (we were on two cars). The property is lovely, and was beautifully decorated both furnished and for the 4th of July holiday. There were snacks in the main house available for guests...

My wife and I stayed at the Culpepper Inn for our 30th anniversary and had a great time. We were greeted by the staff upon arrival with our name on the chalk boards and chocolates in our room. Nice touches. They were extremely helpful the whole stay and offered many suggestions on where to eat and what to see and do....
