Our second stay. Relaxed, friendly, comfortable, and great location downtown. Maureen and Ray are just down to earth, beautiful people, who enjoy the art of hospitality. No reason to go anywhere else in Elizabeth City. Great breakfast too.

The accommodations and breakfast and location and hosts are absolutely delightful. We were staying as part of our bike tour and Ray let us store our bikes inside a safe location and showed us our room with which was a lovely private loft suite with a fourposter bed, beautiful linens and a bathroom with every amenity. This bed and breakfast is really fantastic! We stayed here before our trip to Nags Head and weathered a storm there. The house is older, but that is part of its charm. Our arrival was a bit unusual because we arrived in town by boat. Ray offered to pick us up and even took us for an errand since we had no transportation. upon arrival a beverage was offered and evening meal suggestions. This place is an absolute gem. Ray and Maureen make you feel welcomed and treat you like family. The room was wonderful and breakfast was delicious. Plus for all those concerned about Elizabeth City, we walked around the downtown area and felt perfectly safe both during the day and night.

This was a trip to get to know the town and for some properties in the area. Perfectly charming!!! Returned to E.City for a funeral. When I knocked on the yellow door, our hosts greeted me and I felt so welcome. We brought our dog, so we wanted a safe place for him to stay.
