We stayed over the hauntober weekend while we went to the pumpkin chase on the Nantahala. We always enjoy this weekend at the village. It is a remote area so those who complain about no cell service or close restaurants probably should stay away. The main restaurant on property is excellent. Those who have written bad reviews need to remember... More

We got a deal on the room in the lodge for Thanksgiving - 2 night stay. Room is just fine but there is no microwave or refrigerator. Did not need one as it was very chilly. We went for one night to the Fontana Village Resort. We were surprised by how much it includes with a large lodge, restaurant, a couple stores and a timeshare community of individual cottages. At the beginning of December it was quiet quiet quiet. We took a very nice walk bordering Great Smoky Mountain National Park. Joyce Kilmer Forest is nearby... More

My boyfriend and I went to Fontana Village this past Thanksgiving holiday for 4 days and was very pleased with everything about the stay. Love the quiet resort where you can completely relax. For the kids, the small lazy river is great. Wish there were a hot tub where that pool is though. We stay in cabins and they are wonderful.
