My wife and I stayed here with some friends for the weekend and took in a drive-in movie at the Raleigh Drive-In. When we arrived, the first thing the owner asked for was payment. The property consists of the B&B and a small campground. On the property, there are loads of chickens and roosters running around. Our room was small...

Sorry! I missed the boat on this one. We don't usually serve food other than breakfast but with the motorcycle club we went the extra mile with a low country boil. The restaurant the leader had chosen was closed and We thought the event facility in the barn would be right for the group. Apparently some of them missed all...

We picked the Lamplight Inn from the NCBBI list and enjoyed our visit back in time. The house dates back to 1850 and if you removed the room's TV and ceiling fan you would think you had gone back in time. We had a good nights sleep and a wonderful breakfast that included farm fresh eggs. We enjoyed our visit...

My wife and I spent the weekend at the Lamplight Inn and had a wonderful time. A nice old farmhouse run by charming people..The breakfast served both mornings was fabulous.. A perfect place to stay if you want want to relax in the country away from it all.

I had put in for a "room request" for a cabin in February 2015. My husband and I were getting married near by and we were going to get the Pirate Cabin Friday night for the groom and some of the groomsmen and he and I were going to stay there after our wedding on Saturday night. When we first...

I regret that we were unable to help this couple on such a beautiful romantic occassion. Unfortunately ther were many inquirys without a reservation and we tried unsuccessfully to help.

My boyfriend and I (31 and 33) stayed at the Lamplight Inn this past weekend, July 25-27. We booked the Regal Suite and we weren't disappointed. The headboard of the king size bed was just as massive and impressive as the picture shows. The linens were clean and fresh, as well as the towels. We were the only couple staying...

I stayed here for two nights in the Pirate's Den cabin and I loved it! It was a very good value and I definitely preferred the privacy of the cabin to a hotel. The cabin was clean; it just had the feel of staying in a relative's cabin or something. The things inside seemed used (because they were) but that...

Don't miss the chance to stay at this sweet B&B. 150 year old farmhouse converted to an Inn with Cabin Rentals and even RV Pads. The morning breakfasts were delicious served family style. The bed in The Royal Room is king size and comfortable. New installed bathrooms compliment wide barn board floors. Night ended with Hot Chocolate in the Parlor-...

Really enjoyed the stay here. Three couples for a wedding at another venue. Spent long hours at the breakfast table talking and in the sitting room after our festivities late at night. Add in a morning with Shirley walking the place seeing all she has done and learning the history.

My friends daughter was getting married nearby and I was told that 4 couples, including us, would be staying here. When I called to make my reservation, the only room that was left was $25 more a night than the rest. Not worth it at all, The bathroom for this room house the furnace, which sounds like a monster groaning....

Thanks for posting your review. I am sorry that you didn't like the strawberry stuffed french toast. I agree that it is very sugary but some people expect the sugary treats when they go away l As for the price of the room the smaller king room is only $10. less so you have somehow been misinformed. I do appreciate...

I have always relied heavily on the reviews on tripadvisor and AAA, but you failed me this time. We had booked the Pirate Cove Cabin. Thought about the old house B&B but thought the cabin would be neat. Gosh I'm glad we didn't do that. When we first pulled up I thought we must be in the wrong place. Everything...

thanks for taking the time to write your comments. I understand that some people are not comfortable in an1850 setting. When noone is registered in the Inn during the hot summer months I often close the curtains to keep out the heat. Unfortunately, this set a bad atmosphere to greet you upon your arrival. Please call me so I can...
