We loved the size of the rooms and the cleanliness of the rooms. Because it is a small hotel everyone was very friendly including other hotel guests. Heather was accommodating. The only issue we had was the work crew who were remodeling the restaurant outside of our room worked late in the night and were noisy. This caused a problem...

Aside from the ideal location the room was huge. King bed, a nice fireplace and hot tub. Parking right in front. We spent two nights. The only negative was the lack of housekeeping service after our first night. Not sure why that happened. Easy walk, one block, to the main shopping and eateries.

We were a bit thrown by the odd and dated exterior, but soon grew to appreciate the hotel. Huge room. Friendly staff at check-in. Close to everything near main street, but far enough to get a little peace. Seating areas near the hotel creek were especially peaceful. Wish we'd brought our dogs as I think they would have been okay...

For $150 per night, I didn't expect much. When we opened the door it was a pleasant surprise. The room was large with a four poster bed, a fireplace, and a little kitchenette. The bathroom was spacious with a Jacuzzi tub. It was clean and well equipped. The only negative comment is that the bath towels were a little small. I...

This is a very simple hotel on the backside of a strip shopping center. It is very clean, and OMG the room is huge. We could have had two king size beds side-by-side and there was still a lot of room It was very nice to have the gas fireplace too. The linens on the bed were incredibly soft!! Very...

Nice large suites that are clean and in walking distance of everything downtown. Rooms need updating from the 80's, but I didn't mind so much. Rooms are on the backside of a few stores facing a stream. Nice mini bar, microwave, and mini fridge.

My wife and I have stayed here before, probably 10 years ago, and loved it. Nothing has changed except it is better. The rooms are huge, some with balconies overlooking a beautiful stream. The rooms are private but convenient to Highlands and are very lush. The proprietors are friendly and the rates reasonable. Love the Jacuzzi and walk in showers....

We had suite 55 which had a large balcony overlooking the stream/creek and we were able to see the July 4th fireworks from it. Living area had...

This is one of the nicer places to stay in Highlands. The room is large with a bar area with microwave and refrigerator and a living room area with gas fireplace. Our bed was a king 4 poster bed with luxury high thread count linens. The marble bathroom is huge with a whirlpool tub, separate large glass shower, toilet, bidet...

Just got back from an amazing visit to Highlands ,North Carolina .It is so hard to find a clean inviting place to stay when you want to bring your pet and we don't travel without Jake. “We stayed in room 56 - very private with a private balcony. If there is no one in the office or the store, check for your keys in the mailbox or inquire at The Sweet Shoppe. Check in is not like a regular hotel... no lobby that we could see although we were there and it was still off season so it may be different during busy season.”
