We've stayed at the Main Street Inn in the past and were thrilled to bring our friends with us this time around. We loved sitting by the fire with wine and snacks! I would highly recommend the Main Street Inn for any couples weekend get away!

Sherry was great, the location was great and the room was great! We enjoyed sitting by the fire with a glass of wine in the evening. The inn is beautiful and we would definitely stay here the next time we go to Highlands.

Debbie knows how to run an Inn. The beds were great and well appointed. Everything was superior! Beautiful inn and unbelievable breakfast served each morning of our stay. Scrambled eggs with pecans, blue cheese and fresh tomatoes was fantastic. The pastries were very tasty. The bar was nice and everyone visiting were pleasant. We will return and enjoy an stay... The staff cordial and courteous and the location was within walking distance of everything. Breakfast delicious. The big drawback is that room #8 is not large enough for one person and impossible for two people. The closet was inadequate so we had to use the only place to sit(besides the bed) to put our clothes. I suggest you join room... More

I'm old and tired and just want to be left alone. I dislike social media. So, why am I here? Because, once in a great while, you experience a place so wondrous that it compels you to shout its praises from a mountaintop. However, since mountaintops are thinly populated, my compulsion has led me, reluctantly, to this cite. The gem... More

Great breakfast and location but we stayed in guest house which has tiny rooms and was disappointing for the price. The rooms had window units in the guest house ors wasn't cooling but weather was mild so wasn't a problem.

Spent 3 nights and wanted to stay longer. Great location, with easy walking distance to restaurants and shops of Highlands, and access to some of the most beautiful roads in the region. We traveled by motorcycle throughout the area, but really enjoyed returning to the Inn after a long day's ride. Our room was spotless and fresh every day, soft... More

We really enjoyed our stay at The. Main Street Inn in Highlands,N.C. It is very well located in that one can walk to shops, restaurants etc. our room was charming; it was quaintly decorated and most important was the fact that it was spotless. It had a nice little balcony that overlooked the patio and yard. They have wi fi... More

I have stayed in this Inn many times and find it's quality consistent and enjoyable. The rooms are comfortable and the air conditioning drowns out the street noises at night/early morning. It is very conveniently located and unlike many Inns, the restaurant is open all day. The included breakfast is a real treat - from fresh biscuits to fancy eggs.... More
