The Inn at Teardrops is historic, beautiful and charming with a welcoming atmosphere and a most gracious host. The inn itself plus all of the beautiful furnishings, decor and pictures was a journey back in time. I wish we could have stayed longer.

This wonderful period property is the perfect place to use as a base to explore Hillsborough and its history. Very well appointed, tastefully decorated, and with a good library. Breakfasts in the elegant dining room are a perfect start to the day.

This is a wonderful, historic, very interesting inn, with lots of southern charm! Our two rooms were spacious, and filled with period furniture and oriental antiques. The breakfast was delicious, with the best southern grits we've EVER had! This was our first time back East (from Alaska), and Tom was a wealth of information about local history and where to...

This is a wonderful 1760s vintage three-story house. Our room was spacious with a very comfortable queen-size bed and a private bathroom. Tom, the owner, was a fountain of local knowledge with good recommendations for sightseeing and local dining. Jorge was the cook and groundskeeper, and kept the house and grounds in wonderful condition. His breakfast creations were most memorable....

Amazingly curated with antiques and the occasional splash of modern art, and each of the rooms was unique and full of fascinating items. Beds were quite comfortable, breakfast was creative and...

LOVED having my wedding at this Inn. Everything was perfect! Tom and Jorge worked hard to make sure the grounds were clean and tidy for our big day. Everyone commented on how beautiful everything was. My family was able to rent the rooms in the Inn so they did not have to drive home.

I can't say enough about the hospitality of the owner Tom and the beautiful historic atmosphere. You are staying in a thoughtfully renovated, down to every detail, home that dates to the late 1700s. Tom has filled the rooms with authentic and unusual antiques of the right period- and don't forget to ask him to show you his very favorite...

Our family recently hosted a family reunion in Hillsborough. The owner, Tom, accommodated our family guests from 7 months to 79 years old, and did so exquisitely. Not only is the Inn itself beautiful with its vast array of antiques, art, and books but Tom is a true Southern gentleman. I was tickled when he would stand when guests would...

My husband and I recently spent five nights at The Inn at Teardrops. It was a lovely experience in every way. Tom, the proprietor, is charming and attentive to his guests' needs, and is so interesting, and interested in his guests. Our room was elegant, immaculate, and spacious. From Correcaminos, the adorable canine mascot of the inn, to Jorge's delicious...
