Planning a visit to The Outer Banks? We invite you to come and enjoy our casual but elegant seaside inn, where you can take a stroll on the beach, play in the waves, or just dip your feet in the Atlantic Ocean. Located only 125 yards from the ocean at Mile Post 8 on the Beach Road (1 Lot back from Oceanfront) in Kill Devil Hills, the Cypress House Inn is the closest bed and breakfast to the ocean. A public beach access is directly in front of the inn. We are centrally located to all area attractions.

This is a great place to explore the Outer Banks. The location is perfect, one block from the beach, although the weather did not allow for any swimming. It is also close to the Writght Brothers Memorial, and not far from many places to view birds. The room was clean, quiet and

We needed a special place for a small family reunion. Seems like theres a thousand
places to rent on the OBX, all plain, modern, or mediocre, The Cypress House is
B&B that could be in an old movie, but has modern conveniences. Great porch and
living room with fireplace, great co

Was a little hesitant since me and my husband have never stayed at a B&B. This was a first. Absolutely loved it. Felt like visiting with a friend. Breakfast was wonderful. The house is a great location, centrally located in the Outer Banks and across street from the beach. Will d

This place is great. The people are friendly, the rooms are nice, it’s centrallu located for everything you want to do down here, and it’s walking distance to the beach.

But the thing that really sets it apart is Sassy the dog. She kind of epitomizes what’s just right about the

Just had a great two night stay. Bill was so welcoming, as were his staff. Great location if you are looking to stay in the Kill Devil Hills area. The breakfast was yummy and the rooms were terrific. Great beach access. Would definitely recommend staying here.

I just booked The Cypress House Inn thinking it was a B&B with a full hot breakfast. However, the confirmation page I received makes it sound like a hotel. We are hoping it is a B&B with gourmet breakfast as we read in the reviews. Please clarify. Thank you.
Yes it has great breakfasts, fixed by Bill, who owns the B&B with his wife, Veda! Take their suggestions for dinner and other things, they have the best locations It's location is great for beach and food/shopping! If you're looking for the "hotel" atmosphere, this isn't it! Try the afternoon cookies, delicious. We are going down on September for 4 days and staying there again'

Hi my name is Cindy. My husband and i love staying at bed and breakfast inns when we travel. We like staying in places where we can see and hear the ocean. The rougher and louder the waves are the better. So relaxing!! Do you offer any rooms like this and if not could you recommend some places anywhere along the Outer Banks that do? Thank You!!
We certainly enjoyed the Cypress House B&B. As the other person said it is across the street from the ocean. I don't know of any B&Bs that are closer. It was our first visit to the Outer Banks.
