Our first impression upon pulling into the parking lot was 'ugh'. The exterior was dilapidated and it certainly did not look like a reputable business. But thankfully the interior wasn't as bad. It was fully furnished, including window ac units in the common area and bedrooms, a full-size fridge, microwave, paper towels, various kitchen supplies, and met our expectations for...

I stayed for one night in one of the hostel private rooms (all the hostel rooms are private; there are no dorm style rooms). It was clean and well maintained and even nicely air conditioned, which I had not been expecting. There was a full sized refrigerator and a microwave in the room, both of which were clean and worked...

A crack house would have better and cleaner amenities. This is the most unsafe and NASTY place that I have ever been. PLEASE for your own safety book some where else! The campground is a free-for-all, just pitch your tent on a 3 acre yard. No where to park and lots of druggies and junkies lurking around.

Large grassy area with shade trees, but you'd have to carry your equipment from the parking lot. Other nice shaded areas closer to parking. Big downside is the two peacocks in a cage--squawking all day until night. They start squawking at 5 am! At least a rooster chicken would crow quieter.

Campgrounds are usually one of two things: someone's field that they may or may not have added any other amenities, or they are a gorgeous national park type setting plus or minus the amenities. This campground falls into the field variety- and it's a perfectly fine one at that. Grills and picnic tables are plentiful, and (maybe it wasn't as...

Review is based on tent camping experience. (Not Hostel) Pros: Very friendly staff. Suitable bathrooms. Hot showers. Moderately. Plenty of picnic tables and grills. Cons: Very small grounds. Extremely close to other tents and campers, even if the area is not filled up all the way. Other campers can be heard throughout the night, even talking at a normal level....

We booked one hostel night, so I'm not reviewing the campground. Arriving at the campground everything looked pretty old and there were some weird people walking around.. The woman that helped us said she didn't have our booking. Great... Another women offered us another room with a bed bunk. It didn't mind us so we took it. The room was...

I read all the negative reviews and was surprised that when I stayed here that it was the exact opposite. The place is very nice( it is a camp ground that's 31$ a night, not a 5 star hotel). They have picnic tables and grills and showers. Though showers aren't much ( fit only two at a time) but ur...

My family of four and a friend stayed two nights in a hostel room for sixty like bucks a night. Considering the expense of every other option for travelers on the OBX, I didn't expect much. I was blown away with the comfort of the hostel. Our room had four bunks, A/C, a small fridge, and a microwave. There was...

We camped at this campground. Basically, you pay over $30 to put your tent up on someone's lawn. There are no separate sites. Just picnic tables and some grills strewn about on an open grassy yard. There is space for a few tents under some trees, which would have been nice if not for being right next to two caged...
