We enjoyed a brief stay for a family wedding. The grounds and common areas were lovely and worked beautifully for a wedding. The room was smal (cozy). Not sure the tiny bathroom would have worked for us for more than a couple of days, but it was fine for our short stay. Staff were lovely and very accomodating.

The room & bed were uncomfortable, and the food was poor. The "Heater" was noisy, The bed sagged in the middle. The steaks were ordered "MEDIUM & MEDIUM RARE, AND WERE scortched & over-cooked. The service was very slow. It seemed that most of the attention was being given towards the WEDDING & Party. We were only there to celebrate...

We held a New Year's Eve wedding and there were so many out of town guests that this was the perfect solution. Several guests said it was "EPIC". The accommodations were excellent and we had use of the entire property. Everyone was so helpful and we had a great time.

My husband brought me here for my 40th Birthday. My favorite movie is Dirty Dancing so we wanted to see where the movie was filmed!! We did not do much research before the trip so we didn't realize the roads on the way to Lake Lure were very hard to navigate. If your not careful with all the sharp turns...

This Inn was built in 1927. Step through the French doors on the veranda and you will feel like you have stepped into another era. The lobby is furnished with beautifully preserved antiques. You can dine in the pub, or in the elegant dining room. We chose the later. There were four of us there to celebrate two birthdays. We...

One of the most peaceful and beautiful places I've been to in the past few years. It was great to be able to get away with my fiancé in one of their jacuzzi suites. And during the day, the park and the hiking were awesome!

For a historic building, this hotel is quite acceptable in this modern day and age, but do not go there expecting a ritz carlton or even a holiday inn. The styling of the rooms matches the old style decor. We got a room between the elevator and the stairwell, so it was not the most quiet room, small bathroom. On one...

Just stayed 2 nights-our first trip here and couldn't have been happier. Unfortunately the lake was "drained" for dam repair but the inn is charming. A true step back in time. The rooms, lobby and restaurant are filled with amazing antiques, paintings and photos. We visited and hiked chimney rock as well as touring The Biltmore. Both are very close...

We went to a family wedding at the inn. The service was excellent and the decor and rooms were wonderful!! I loved all the antiques. I come from New England and the antiques reminded me of home. I would love to stay there again in the summer or fall.

Quaint little community about 45 minutes from Asheville, NC. We stayed Thanksgiving weekend and the trees still had color and I'm certain that they were magnificent in late October and early November. That would be the choice time to enjoy the view. Just a beautiful surrounding nestled in the mountains.
