Our family is from Florida and we thought it would be nice to take our kids ages 8 and 13 to see snow. We made our reservations online and decided to stay Monday-Thursday. We thought we could save some money by staying here because they advertise meals. They also advertise special accomdations for allergies, so we asked them to make... More

We arrIved at the ranch on a Friday night after a brief snowfall the previous day. It was enough snow to give the ranch a shimmering appearance. The evening meal of fried chicken was delicious. There were only a handful of guests which was fine with us as we wanted a quiet weekend. Our accommodations were modest and clean. The... More

My wife and I took our first trip this weekend, and it will be the first of many. The staff was excellent. They were not only professional, but very personable and genuine. We stayed in the Bluebird room on the 2nd floor of the main ranch. The room was quaint and perfect for our needs. Larger rooms are available as... More

In October 2013, I stayed for three days at the ranch in one of the small historic cabins. My cabin had a cozy fireplace and historic decor, but with modern conveniences of a private bath, tv, and wifi (however, some cell phones don't get good reception there, but I had no problem). The property is beautiful and serene. Although I... More

This place is a small slice of heaven. Our family enjoyed hiking, horse back riding, fishing, as well as very good food and entertainment. The cabins are all clean and well appointed especially considering its supposed to be a ranch. This is more than a place to stay, its an experience and one that you will not soon forget. The... My family stayed at Cataloochie for several days in two cabins. It was an amazing stay with my older parents, wife and two young teenage sons. The entire property is such a peaceful escape. We enjoyed the horseback riding, trout fishing, hiking and of course the food. The service was exceptional. This place has been run by the same family... More

Only come here if you love beauty and peace. Best place to go horseback riding in the southeast. Came here on our 26th wedding anniversary and we can't wait to go back. I wish we had found this place a long time ago.
