Dawn and Mike are gone, and they are what made this establishment so special in the past. Gone are the little niceties from Dawn, and all the hard work Mike put in. When we found out Dawn and Mike were no longer the owners, we...More

We came to The Alamo bc of the reviews. We enjoyed our stay. The rooms are dated but they were clean and nice. Our dog was welcomed. The owner went above and beyond to help us have a nice stay. They even helped us get...More

We enjoyed our stay for the night here with no prior experience with other owners. The new ones will learn as they go. If we come back the area we'll stay here since it's far enough away from SMNP to avoid all the chaos.

I don't remember there being a creek. And we were there in early June, so I can't speak about the costs now, nor about having pets. Sorry, I'm just no help at all.

You cannot smoke inside the rooms or cottages, but you can smoke on the porches or outside the rooms.
