We were up in Mt. airy for the Autumn Leaves Festival and drove past the home of Andy Griffith. The festival was worth the drive, the home wasn't. We didn't get to go into the museum but will next time we go. But if you ever get the chance to go to the festival try it. It is over for...

This home was immaculate and such a pleasure to "step back in time". Just a simple home reminiscent of simpler times. This home is perfect for couples or families. It's in great proximity to all the area attractions and fun to read all the little bits of history of Andy & his childhood that are posted throughout the home. I...

We were in Mt. Airy and this was the first stop. Very easy to find and a cute home. Our friends actually rented it 2 years ago for a couple of nights and really enjoyed staying there. If you rent, just know that all the tour groups stop out front, so you won't have a lot of privacy on the...

If you are old enough to remember The Andy Griffith Show, then you have to spend a couple of hours in Mount Airy, North Carolina. This town is full of businesses that reference the characters on the show. There's Barney Fife's diner, Aunt Bea's diner...and the list goes on and on. There is also an Andy Griffith Museum. Stop at...

We stayed at Andy's home place one night last Saturday night. We loved seeing and being in the home of the great Andy Griffith. It was so quaint, neat and clean and topped off the few days we stayed in Mt. Airy. We sat and watched several episodes of the show which are provided to guest. We saw so many...

We stayed here one night, with our two teenage sons, passing through, and spent a day in Mount Airy to see all the Andy Griffith/Mayberry sights. My husband was over the moon with this place, he LOVED it! Andy's home was like a cottage. It looks small on the outside, but it's actually quite spacious on the inside. The beds...

Very clean. Some things are purposely not updated, which makes it more appealing to me. We loved playing the old monopoly game and working the puzzle that is there for guests. It also has the Andy Griffith show on DVD and an Andy G. Game. The kitchen was my favorite. It looks better in person. The kitchen is so quaint...

This is a neat place to stay in Mount Airy, NC. Furnished in the era of the 50's and 60's with exception of certain modern conveniences There's Mayberry nostalgia through out the house via newspaper clippings including one on Andy's parents when they left Mount Airy hanging on the wall along with a furnished copy of the complete Andy Griffith...

We stayed one night and thoroughly enjoyed the stay. Great experience. Spent the evening watch Andy Griffith tapes. Rates were a bit high. Safe neighborhood. Great memorabilia from the show and Andys life. Bathroom is very small. Home could use a little TLC upkeep from maintenance staff. We can certainly understand the need to keep the overall ambiance of the...
