First, I never actually made it to the property due to Tropical Storm Hermine. It seemed really dumb to drive right into a tropical storm so after watching the news, seeing some other problems (the bridge into the Outer Banks closed for one) in the surrounding area, AND talking this through with the others, we decided not to come this...

Sorry for your inconvenience. We try and accommodate all of our guests concerns, however as small hotel we must stick to our cancellation policy. In this situation there was a storm, but there was no mandatory evacuation and thus you still were able to come and enjoy a vacation as the storm did pass quickly. We hope you give us...

My husband and I wanted to get away for our anniversary weekend and we wanted to take our 4 dogs - yes 4. 2 Newfoundlands, 1 Great Pyr, and 1 Maltese Poodle. We booked 2 rooms here - no size restrictions - 2 dogs allowed per room. When we got there we found we could upgrade to oceanfront due to...

Visited during Labor Day weekend - which also coincided with a hurricane- but despite that my boyfriend and I had a nice stay, at what was by far the most inexpensive accommodations we could find at just about any beach in the mid-atlantic (granted we did book in only two weeks advance, but still). The queen room was very basic,...

I used to come to this hotel ever year with my parents when I was younger and we loved it. This year I got to show my husband and daughter how amazing this area is! They were so in love! I love how close you are to the beach and the staff is very friendly and keeps the rooms clean....

I love that it's all on one floor and you can park just steps from your door. Rooms are extremely clean. Staff is super friendly. It is in a good location only steps from the ocean. I will definitely stay here again. We also braved a hurricane during our visit. I was never worried about my safety here. Floors are...

Courtyard style, old fashioned motel with no frills, conveniently located right on the beach near restaurants and shops. We stayed in room 7, which was quite small with tile floor. The bathroom was also very small, with cheap fixtures. Cable tv. Little courtyard space with lounge chairs, grill, and picnic tables. Small outdoor pool. Bedding was below expectations--scratchy polyester bed...

It's a clean basic pet-friendly motel. The floors are tile so there isn't the musty smell you can find at other beach hotels. It's dated but who cares...your at the beach and it's right outside your door.

Stayed a total of 4 days here. We had reserved Mon thru Wed in an oceanfront room but got into town a day early and got to stay in a courtyard room. Even though the oceanfront room has the added perk of having a view from your room through a sliding glass door that is right on the beach, we...

Okay, this place is not luxurious and it's not the cookie cutter chain hotel. What it is, is the old style beach motel. We normally rent a house in Hatteras, but we found ourselves with a long weekend, and a couple of large dogs, and started looking for a place to stay a week before our trip. A challenging combination....
