Four of us spent a two-night "Girl's Weekend" in the two-bedroom/one bath "Granny's Attic" suite on third floor. It fit our needs perfectly! Rooms were spacious and there was even a tiny sitting area with table at one end of the hallway. It is an old house, so the sloping floors were authentic and part of the ambiance! Breakfasts were...

The room was clean, the bed was comfortable and the breakfasts were excellent. Betty and John were great hosts and looked after us really well. The location is perfect - just a few blocks into downtown New Bern, and an ideal base for visiting Tryon Palace and the North Carolina History Center or taking a walk round the historic houses...

Loved our stay at The Meadows Inn. The Inn Keepers, John and Betty, were wonderful. The Inn was warm and cozy. Breakfast was delicious!! We can't say enough nice things about this historical Inn! It is a block from the river and within a short walk of everything you would want to do while visiting Downtown New Bern. We parked...

First off, the location is perfect for strolling the waterfront and the historical sites and shops of New Bern. The Inn is less than one block from the City's water front. Authentic southern hospitality from innkeepers John and Betty made our 34th anniversary very special. Their knowledge of the town's history and points of interest simplified a lovely weekend. Awesome...

New Bern is a mid-way point for our frequent travels to the mid-Atlantic region. We were pleased to find rooms available at the Meadows Inn for our most recent trip. The room, on the first floor, was spacious and bright. The queen-sized bed was very comfortable; the extra pillows (found in the cabinet) were appreciated. The bedding was also fine...

Great location in downtown. Just a few blocks to everything. Owners are very nice and accommodating. Their local knowledge and recommendations helped us find several places we really enjoyed and would have missed otherwise. Definitely recommend.

Spent New Years eve in New Bern. Had whole place to ourselves. Owners were perfect. Left us alone but called on our way there to see when we were arriving. Explained everything and good places to eat and drink. Great breakfast with mamosa. Where able to walk everywhere, restaurants, bars and water front.

The Meadows Inn strives to make your stay an experience to remember. The rooms are beautifully decorated with the German theme, relating to the history of New Bern. A quiet, restful inn that is located in downtown so you can park your car upon arriving and walk to everything. The innkeepers furnish cold water, cold drinks, coffee and cookies available...

Enjoyed our stay at this pre Civil War property with easy access to downtown attractions, waterfront, and governor's mansion. Lovely and quiet room. Enjoyed excellent breakfast and nighttime snack (coffee and cookies) in comfortable common area.

it was an anniversary and reunion weekend. i was a little disappointed because other B&Bs we have stayed in all over NC gave a special treat for couples on their anniversary..nothing was down here at all. Also find some roaches in our room, that wasn't pleasant. to be so expensive, it was an OK place to stay, probably wouldn't stay...
