If you are an individual with refined tastes who expects only the best....look elsewhere. If you're an individual who likes to be frugal, but doesn't mind getting by with less than luxurious surroundings for a bit, it's a good choice. This motel is older which we thought would be charming, but we were disappointed. The room was a decent size but the mattresses needed replacing and the window a/c unit was super loud. We love Oak Island. Not the fanciest place but great staff, great owners, clean rooms, great prices. This is the only place we would want to stay here.Great seafood across the street. Beautiful town. Great people.

Front desk clerk Super Nice!!! All other staff Super Nice!! Owner not so nice. Stayed two nights with my daughter who was home from college for the summer. Wanted to take her somewhere quiet and nice. Things I liked: outdoor grills and picnic tables. Add a dirty run down facility with erratic wifi, sketchy tv reception and no air conditioning for a wonderful weekend. As a bonus the owners will start their wreck of a Buick at 5 am treating all within earshot to a wake up call to put Harley Davidson to shame. A very poor value for the money
