We got a last-minute reservation at El Pucará for the last room they had available. The room was simple, clean and comfortable, and the grounds are magnificent, with a beautiful view of the mountains. They even have something called "Foot Golf," which I didn't get a chance to try, but it looks fun. It's like golf with no clubs. You...

We stay for one week and enjoyed our stay. Clean rooms, good service and great food and drink. I would enjoy returning and would recommend staying here. I especially enjoyed dinner each evening. Great internet service too.

I spent 6 nights in this hotel while hunting. The rooms were clean, artfully decorated and full of amenities. The service was outstanding. I especially enjoyed the restaurant, which is run by a young couple and is full of delicious local dishes. The hotel grounds were lush gardens with a beautiful view of the mountains in back of the property....

San Javier and Yacanto are very small villages (800 inhabitants added) on the southwestern foot of the Cordoba mountains (highest peak 9000 ft). Pucará is located directly on the main road in Yacanto. It has very nice grounds: a 7 acre garden that used to be a golf course overlooking the Sierra Cordobesa (mountain). A small swimming pool, very nice...

Stayed for 4 nites, during hunting trip. This was the off season (winter) for the area. Rooms were clean and comfortable.Food was fresh and deliious.. Any needs were met by staff. A spacious lounge bar area both inside out was a pleasant retreat after a long day afield. Have a trip planne dfor 2010 and plan on staying here again.

Posada El Pucara is located in the foothills of the Traslasierra Mountains. It is only a few meters off the main road from San Javier, but the grounds are so large that there is virtually no road noise for the rooms at this posada. The facility was recommended in the Rough Guide to Argentina and we decided to give it...
