This is a very unique resort, focused specifically on tourists visiting the famous Tail of the Dragon. They have rooms, a couple of suites, a gas station/convenience store, gift shop and restaurant, all of which close early in the evening. All services at the resort...More
If you are a cyclist, this place is a MUST GO!!! A great restaurant near the Tail of the Dragon with some really good food served quickly, lots of interesting stuff, and you can even spend the night here!
This resort was interesting. The furnishings were sparse and somewhat institutional although the room was clean. The shower curtain was awesome. The walls were concrete or something similar so cold but the heater worked well. The restaurant closed at six and the hotel at seven....More

They do not have king beds. There is a room with a queen, but most have twin bunk beds. I got this off their website which trip advisor won't let me post here. Rooms include: A small kitchenette, large refrigerators, microwaves, small coffee pots and satellite TV. Please note that the stoves will be removed for the 2018 season. Rooms also include all your linens, towels, pillows, shampoo and soap. All rooms have heat and A/C. Maid Service provided daily. Apartments have two sets of bunk bed, one full-size futon and one Queen bed. It doesn't mention smoker friendly, but I have seen a lot of people smoking outside their rooms. You can always ask before hand, but it is the closest you're going to get to the Dragon. The restaurant onsite is surprisingly very good for road side food!
