We've stayed there many times and we keep coming back for more. Pamela and Lisa are just lovely and Daisy May too. It's location is great for all the outdoor activities--kayaking, hiking and visiting the beautiful Joyce Kilmer Forest. Don't miss those BIG TREES---largest in the Eastern US. We enjoyed a spectacular weekend, with awesome hospitality, comfortable and nicely packaged accommodations, and were hosted by great people. We played the day away fishing in the stocked trout pond, canoeing on the lake (they have Canoes, Kayaks and a pontoon boat) and enjoying some of the most beautiful and unspoiled countryside in the Southeast. The Blue Boar is nestled... More

For my 60th birthday, I wanted to go someplace that was physically beautiful with mountains, lakes, waterfalls, hiking trails through old growth forests in autumn, and non-commercial in character. We discovered a gem in Graham County, south of the Great Smoky Mountain National Park. We spent seven nights at the Blue Boar Inn in one of their cottages (Trillium) during... More

Charming is my best description. Much to my disappointment we only stayed one night. The inn is out of Robbinsville, so it is peacefully quiet and serene. The inn is very comfortable and clean, not necessarily fancy, but well appointed with your comfort their 1st thought. For example, they have CD's in your room for your listenting pleasure. Wine glasses... More

The inn is run by a fabulous family--Lisa is a fantastic chef, Pam is a very welcoming innkeeper and Chris provides local color, fishing lessons, and keeps the roaring bonfire going nightly! Our king size room was wonderful! The reading area in the room provided a great place to relax after our hike in the Joyce Kilmer Memorial Forest. We... More

My husband and I just returned from 2 days at the Blue Boar Inn and it was very relaxing and quiet. The inn is beautiful and the rooms are very large. What a wonderful breakfast that the chef serves each morning, we were not hungary until dinner time. The only downfall that I see to the inn is that they... More

My husband and I just returned from a two-night stay at the Blue Boar Inn. It was everything that other reviews have said! A lovely and very quiet room, comfortable public spaces, and relaxing grounds. We planned to eat at the Inn only one night, but after a WONDERFUL meal, decided why search for anything else? Breakfast was as delicious... More

The Blue Boar Inn is a peaceful retreat just minutes from the Smokey Mountains of North Carolina. The rooms appear brand new and are clean and comfortable, and the food is spectacular! My expectations were blown away as the service, staff, and amenities matched that of a 5 star resort in any major citiy. This quaint, quiet retreat offers everything... More

I found the Blue Boar Inn on the internet and was excited but cautious about staying there but when we arrived it was everything their web site said it was and more! The place is very clean and friendly. The breakfast was excellent. Get there early to have plenty of time to enjoy the grounds, trout pond and the lake.... More
