Our studio apartments were well maintained, comfortable with all you needed. Although Makry Galios is on the southern side of Crete it was worth travelling to stay here. The barbecue night and wine tasting were superb. having your own car is a bonus as you can travel to interesting places in the area. The pool and its bar area are...

Excellent choice for October - still warm on the south coast of Crete, and doing some writing under the olive trees and bougainvilleas in the beautiful garden was very relaxing. Room was basic and clean, we got good service, and tips when driving to other places. First I found the black and white TV a bit too vintage, but the...

We were traveling from India - three flights to reach Heraklion and then a two hour drive from the airport to the resort. As we had to reschedule our flights due to a cancellation - expected time of arrival was well past midnight. Sent a request for a late check-in and they were nice enough to leave our room open...

This was our fourth year at Villea Villages and we were not disappointed again. We would like to thank everybody for making us feel so welcome again and would like to particularly thank Chrissoula, Nickos and especially Vallsalis for the Gorge Walk which was spectacular. We will see you next year.

We stayed at Villea Village in August 2016 for one week. It was my partner and 2 children, 11 & 12 years of ages. Our first impressions of the room were not great but after the first night we had fallen in love with the resort, area, and staff. Sue and Vallsalis were brilliant and looked after all their clients...

Villea has become synonymous with hometown which if you don't visit at least once a year you feel like something is missing. I have written a couple of reviews which you may search for detailed recommendations. What i have to say this time is that this resort has a unique energy and vibe. If you visit it once it magically...

A relaxing week at this lovely small resort set in a Cretan olive grove. Very welcoming and easy access to restaurants and beaches nearby. Staff are friendly and accommodation is clean. Rooms are basically furnished but the rest of Villea makes up for that. Kids love the safe pool.

This is a great place for relaxing. It is set in lovely gardens leading to a large open air pool surrounded by olive trees which provide a welcome shade from the sun. The staff are extremely helpful and friendly. Vasilis, the owner is always ready for help and advice. If I have any critism of the resort at all is...

Stayed here as couple for week swap via RCI. Hotel has large outdoor pool surrounded by shady tress, with sufficient sunbeds for both guests and others who also use the pool area – this is the heart of the hotel complex. It is however only a couple of minutes to walk to safe sandy beaches with gently sloping shallow sea...
