The rooms were nice and clean. The food was excellent. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The Inn is full of history and beautiful antiques. I would stay here again. Gaspe is such a beautiful place.

We arrived at 8pm and found that they did not have our booking.com reservation. I showed them my reservation paperwork, and they did find us a room, although not the room we had selected. We stayed in La Perchard. It was very charming, but had no air flow and no view. Like some others have mentioned, the only source of...

Spent 2 nights here exploring the Gaspe peninsula. On balance I enjoyed the stay. This is an old and characterful property and being an auberge it presented a nice contrast to some of the purpose-built, chain hotels we'd stayed in during this holiday in Canada. Our room (La Davies) was okay but not particularly inspiring - aspects of it made...

We recently had the pleasure of staying at the William Wakeham as part of a "road trip" around the Gaspe. Our stay here was a highlight thanks to the ambience, food and service. We stayed in the "Romantique" room on the front of the hotel with a view of the river. The room was an excellent size (we were not...

This May we had the pleasure of welcoming family from away in order to attending my daughter's baptism. Once again Maison William Wakeham, with Desmond and his staff, was at the top of the "places to stay while you're here" list. Mr Ogden was gracious in accepting the reservation, flexible in it's relative last minute date changes and personally ensured...

Another visit to this charming, gracious inn. The owner and chef extraordinaire, Desmond, goes out of his way to make you feel at home. His meals are delicious and the seafood is divine! The rooms are cozy and comfortable.

When we booked, there were not that many rooms left available and got the "David"room. It was roomy but had no views. As it was humid we put on the airconditioning unit which was in the window to discover that it was very noisy. The bed was not comfortable but it was just a one night stay. It was very...

While on a cycling trip, we stayed in one of the apartments at this hotel. Great value! Private entrance, 3 bedrooms, full kitchen, and laundry room - all for no more than the price of a standard hotel room. Breakfast was included, but we made our own. The front desk staff was incredibly friendly and helpful.

My wife and I spent two nights at this wonderful facility and would without any doubt highly recommend the Auberge William Wakeman to anyone. For starters we stayed in the “Rustic Room” which offered something totally different to a normal B&B room. The artifacts and set up were tastefully done in a very natural way. The service was on an...

This was our second visit to Gaspé and we decided to splurge and stay at this beautiful, historic inn. We stayed for three nights and I must thank the kind, helpful staff: Réal, Didier and Patrick, who were attentive, kind, and ensured that we were well looked after. These gentlemen are outstanding employees. Unfortunately there were a couple of issues...
