Camp griffon is a beautiful, clean, quiet family campground on the Gulf of St Lawrence. The area is so quaint and the views are stunning. We would highly recommend a stay at this campground. If we could it would get a 10 star from us!
We camped here for 5 nights in Sept 2020 in a 25' travel trailer on site #11. This site has an excellent water view and is unique in that it is the only one which allows you to park parallel to the water. In my opinion this gives you a better view from your trailer and more privacy. The waterfront sites have ample trees and cover between them which offers good separation from your neighbours. The campground was clean and well maintained. Staff were very friendly and were fluent in english. There is a walking trail about 600m in length on the property and a stairway leading directly to the beach below. Note that the beach is rocky and great for ocean viewing (not swimming). I can't comment on the washroom facilities which were closed due to COVID-19. This entire area of Gaspe offers spectacular views and the campground is about a 5 minute drive from Forillon National Park and 1 & 1/2 hour's drive to Perce Rock. I highly recommend staying here and will return in future.…
Not a large campground but nice. Sites are not large. We had a site on the cliff overlooking the St. Lawrence. Watched the birds, ships, fishermen right from our campsite while enjoying a fire. There is a large staircase that leads down to the water, no beach but you can walk a long way in either direction. Our only downside was the wind when we were there.
We are in a cross Canada trip so we have visited numerous parks and camp sites. This site ranks up there. Beautiful Gulf of St Lawrence views, well maintained, actually have (great) WiFi when advertise that they do, quiet, very friendly, down to earth staff.
This place is well kept, had all the features you need, is clean and yes, sea sites are spectacular. Others are quite small and neighbours can be loud. Doesn’t seem to have anyone driving around after quiet time to make sure it’s quiet unfortunately. That’s the only negative i have though. Staff are great.
Camped on june 21-june 23 . The roads to get there from Montreal our very beautiful but some parts our bumpy. We travelled on hwy 132 at the end followed the water. What a view. We were meet by the owners and they were very nice and helpful. We camped on site 11 right on the cliff what a view. THis is a must see and camp site.
The site offered clean facilities,a quiet location, a great view on the sea above the riff, stairs down to the beach and the most friendly host of our trip,Marie. She even took us for a shopping tour.
Spent one week at this campground. Well maintained, owners are super helpful and the view is priceless. If you are planning a trip to gaspe this campground is a must !!! Mature trees and lots of privacy.
Reserve early to get a waterfront site. We were by the road and that was still ok. All sites are private with enough trees. The bathrooms and showers are spotless. You get everything you need. And the location is just perfect,
We had a great stay with special thanks to ladies in the office for being so accommodating and helpful! This campground is clean, quiet and not far from most attractions. We camp with a tent in the back of our truck so we need a level spot to park. When we realized the spot we reserved had the site set up away from where you park your vehicle, the ladies in the office helped us switch to a better site for our needs. The views are phenomenal, the beach private, the shared kitchen great for clean up and the washrooms were impeccable. With only a half hour drive to Gaspé, Pointe-a-la-Renommée or Forillon National Park this is a great place to spend a few days.
