We'd 'blind booked' this accommodation on the way back from Sydney and couldn't believe our luck at finding this absolute gem! We'd just stayed at a motel in another town and for roughly the same price per night ($200) the two could not be compared. We had a loft room, as the sea-view rooms we full. The accommodation was reasonable... More

Was totally surprised when we arrived. We were staying out of season so we were the only people. But the hotel and the room and the view were wonderful. Unfortunately we didnt eat in the restaurant but did have dessert - BEST lemon meringue pie! Well worth visiting but It can get busy in summer season.

Stopped in for Lunch and were overwhelmed by the location & beauty looking across to Eden. Staff fantastic meal acceptable but a little boring standard Hotel. Thought there would be more Fish varietals, like Whiting Flathead etc. had the flake and I must admit it was delicious. Lobster on the menu looked great but there didn't seem to be anything... More

Popped in for afternoon tea, unfortunately run out of scones so couldn't try the Devonshire cream teas. With its lovely views over twofold bay, I would definitely like to come back to try their bistro for lunch or dinner.

The Seahorse Inn was an unexpected pleasure set in a place that could be described as paradise opposite Eden on Twofold Bay. Our Garden Room was clean, roomy and comfortable. The manager who turned into the barman and waiter, could not have been more thoughtful or charming. Dinner was delicious and portions were just right. The continental breakfast included in... More

The location is really beautiful and from outside the hotel looks very nice. But the rooms are not comfortable and the bathroom was awfull. We had to chage the booked room because the linen was not clean. Cleanliness is a big problem. Staff is more or less incurious.

We stopped by on our drive to Melbourne to see if they had any rooms. We were expecting the price to be extremely high based on the look from the outside (beautiful grounds around a historic lovely building). We were pleasantly surprised by the reasonable price for the 1 bedroom suite which had 1 queen and 2 single beds (perfect... More

Whoever now owns this place has given it a good spruce up. Twenty years ago it was run down and an embarrassment to the historic site. Today, all is well maintained. The site is pretty spectacular, fronting a fine lawn (replacing the croquet pitch) which leads down toTwofold Bay; across the water, about 7 km around the bay by road,... More

We booked this hotel and then nearly cancelled it because of a poor review and we are glad we didn't cancel. The room we had (room 5) was spacious well appointed with a lovely view out to Two Foldsbay. The setting and the ambience of the hotel was so special that we ate outside both nights overlooking the lawns and... More
