Litchfield Safari Camp is a camping and caravan park on the western side of Litchfield National Park. Only 4 km from Wangi Falls and even closer to the Cascades it is well situated for accessing any of the Litchfield attractions. Lots of shade and flowering trees that attract honeyeaters, lorikeets and flying foxes so you can do some wildlife watching... More

The location of the park is great , close to the most attractions of Litchfield. The camp has its potential since there is a lot of space. The amenities are very old and there is no soap on spot. we have stayed there for 3 nights and selected an isolated spot which was pretty good. The washing machine needs to... More

Rented one of the safari tents that sleeps four people (1 bunk bed and 1 queen), has split air-con, fridge, kettle, toaster, cutlery, ensuite toilet with separate shower. Had gas BBQ. Could use the camp's outdoor kitchen stove and microwave too. The tent and the camp was clean. Enjoyed the pool. The owner has 2 dogs and a cat that... More

We went to this camping ground as Wangi falls were full ! Lovely spot with grass , old facilities but clean .. Lots of bird life around . Close to driving spots, well you have to drive wherever you are . reasonable rates . I would stay there again . It has a small shop ( high prizes ) but... More

Great spot to explore Litchfield, but amenities were dirty and run down. No water pressure when hooked to van. Spacious enough powered site. Seems a business is being run from out the back, with large trucks being driven past the camp sites and noise from wherever they were doing.

We arrived here in the mid-afternoon and were instantly depressed. The site office is in an old shipping container and we were greeted by someone who made it clear he was just filling in for the manager. Our powered camper van site was dusty and pretty shadeless, but that may be unavoidable in this part of the park... we had... More

If you had your own tent or camper trailer/caravan, and are fully equipped, the campsites are nice, and close to the beautiful Wangi Falls, Florence Falls and Buley Rocks Holes, and perhaps you can put up with a substandard toilet block, but please do not think about staying in a safari tent. They need to be bulldozed. We stayed in... More

We booked through phone, reached late and found the owner was missing, waited for 2 hours, honked, screamed yelled. Finally, we searched the camp ourself and camped in it. The room was average, just that it's got old and maintenance was null. Don't expect the phone to work, the owner forgets things. Get your own food, insect repeller and probably... More

We just left the Safari Camp today. It's in a great location right near all the swimming holes and waterfalls of beautiful Litchfield National Park. It's a pity the Camp is so run down. We stayed in a four bed basic tent. Although our beds were comfortable the tent was quite mouldy. The communal fridge was the worst fridge I... More

Easy drive from Litchfield NP even along the small unsealed section. Spent one night here with an unpowered site which costed 25 dollars. Lots of space to select from. Limited supplies at shop and caretaker was helpful when arriving and not so when leaving - asked if could pump tyres = too hard! And spent the whole night trying to... More
