Impressive motel with restaurant to stop and base for trips out to Cania Gorge. Rooms were very well presented with jug, toaster and microwave. After trekking through Cania Gorge the piping hot (rain-head) shower was a treat for exhausted bodies. Don't worry about cooking as the restaurant meals are delicious with good portions. Something we looked forward to after spending our energy hiking. However, if the restaurant is not serving, the petrol station across the road has home-baked frozen meals; savoury mince, curried sausages to sweet and sour with fried rice.

Did a family trip to Monto to see some silo art and murals. We stayed at the Three Moon Motel, great place to stay, lovely owner and staff. The rooms were clean and tidy, they had everything that you would need for your stay, has a licenced restaurant, great food and service. I would definitely stay here again.

We had been advised to stay here by my husbands employer. When I contacted them to book a room I accidentally asked if they had a cabin available (so use to cabins on the mine sites) to which I received a rather abrupt one sentence message back saying they don’t have cabins. I replied apologising and said I meant a room and they never bothered replying.

We never expect a lot from motels but this one had everything, even the little things like hooks in the bathroom (for towels next to the shower and shower cap), shelf space for ones toiletries and a shower where the water slides down to the drain instead of all over the bathroom floor. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was clean and spacious and we were able to park right outside so we didn't have to cart our suitcases too far. We had the most delicious meal in their (licensed) restaurant. We only booked here by chance as we were due in Roma for the night but the road from Blackall was blocked due to flooding so we had to come the long way round. If we were ever in the area again this would be top of our list for somewhere to stay.

Lovely people running this motel. Room was small but spotlessly clean. There is a dining room for dinner, or order back to your room, with beer or wine. Would come back for sure if stopping overnight.
