We were sold a basic room for $250 we understand TI is remote and have stayed on the island before so we had a fair idea. However, the room was dirty, mouldy bathrooms, breakfast included meant you had to pay an extra $4 for coffee, no fruit or alternative milk...we thought ehh it is what it is outrageous but done...

False reviews, for which a payment or favour has been extracted from junior staff, is very naughty and you should not be doing this. Your only problem with our property was you wanted a free gift, and you bullied a junior Front Office girl to present you with a gift voucher, or else you would write a horrid review. It...

The room was clean and tidy, although very basic for the price paid. The hotel has shocking customer service. Lots of temporary staff feeds into the quality of service. Check-in was slow and cumbersome. The restaurant struggles with only one staff member trying to look after everyone. Breakfast was dismal with bain-marie food having only bacon and sausages on display....

Sir, we are very sorry your stay with us was so distressing. We apologise for the check-in experience, processing and checking in a Qantas planeload of people who arrive all at once does put some pressure on our Front Office. We are sorry you found this a distressing experience. We are sorry you found breakfast to be overcooked, for the...

Room number 4 is on the ground floor right next to the kitchen, which is noisy from very early to very late. The room was not clean & the ceiling mouldy. The small room air conditioner was too noisy to sleep by. The room also overlooks the pool with deckchairs right outside so other's conversations are overheard, especially when alcohol...

I liked the Jardine - the rooms were open, and clean and I did not feel closed in like some motels. The bed and pillows were comfy, and toiletries were provided. Sure it was no five star hotel, but the staff were friendly and I felt safe and secure. What more could you ask for in such an idylic setting....

I stayed at this motel for two nights, as part of a tour. The room was basic, and could use a refurb, but the bed was comfy, and the space adequate. A nice touch was providing separate towels in the room for the pool. This made it easy to enjoy an afternoon swim. The pool itself is small, but in...

Jardine motel has charged me an extra $649.60 on top of the $142 they charged me for my room for one night. I've sent numerous emails to them to return it, but they keep refusing to return it, denying they've made the 2 charges.

We stayed a night at the Jardine Motel on Thursday Island recently. What’s to say? It’s clean, quiet, basic motel standards that you would expect anywhere in the world, location is excellent right on the water, the restaurant serves decent enough food and we got a good night sleep there. Try it for yourself but we liked it just fine.

Food ok but because they cater for big groups you have to wait quite a while to be served. One of our group ordered steak and it was nearly raw. Curry fine. Really the meal we had at the Torres pub was better. Restaurant clean and welcoming

I had a combined family/business stay and loved it. Contrary to some of the reviews I read, the motel was very clean and well kept. The room is basic but definitely meets the needs of travelers with a good size room and bathroom. I loved the pool area which was a great place to relax with lounges and a balance...

The Jardine Motel is a clean and comfortable place to stay on Thursday Island. Right on the water and opposite the Memorial Park. The on-site restaurant does a good breakfast and staff are friendly and helpful. The room has the basic amenities - hairdryer, television, air-con and ceiling fan, tea and coffee facilities. The room is quite big and the...
