We won this stay in an online Travel Auction, so we bid what we thought it was worth to pay (although it would have been better to read the TA reviews first, we definitely got our money's worth at the price we bid!) This is a country hotel/motel which was built in the 1960's. The bed was very supportive, on...

Took a Travel Auction - the place is run down and looks distasteful but is quiet and reasonably located. The restaurant food is first class. It is an ideal spot to travel to other locations and is an hour away from the Clare region.

Rooms were old and tired. Had been cleaned within an inch of destruction but that didn't disguise the tawdriness. Bed comfortable. Restaurant was good food and service/staff were also good. Probably an ok place if you didn't want to actually stay there.

We found the room spotlessly clean & comfortable. The staff are very friendly & helpful & nothing was too much trouble. The food from the restaurant is top quality & quantity. The bathroom could do with modernising but was clean & servicable. We still have 2 more days here but thought I would write this review as I am so...

My wife and I just spent 3 out of 4 nights at Sunnyside Motel as part of a Travel Auction deal. Very disappointed at the general standard of cleanliness of the rooms. It is an old and tired motel that needs $$$$ spent upgrading however having worked for ourselves for most of our working life we understand that this is...

My wife and I first went to the Sunnyside Hotel at Port Broughton when given a Travel Auctions voucher as a present last year, but when the opportunity to go again this year came up, we jumped at it. The Port Broughton location is ideal for visiting all of the Lower Flinders Ranges and upper Yorke Peninsula. It's only a...

We are here once again for a 5 night stay including our auction holiday. I must say that this is one the best most friendly hotels in one of the best locations on the Yorke Peninsula !!! staff have bent over backwards from the moment we arrived. They were more then happy when I approached them regarding no milk in...

We have just spent 3 nights at The Sunnyside Motel as part of a Travel Auction. We didn't pay much and that was just as well. Had read reviews about the broken hand basin and must have stayed in that room. Towels weren't replaced until requested and the whole room was VERY tired. The shower alcove was quite grubby. Poor...

“Rm 11-19 face South - cooler; Room 3-10 get morning sun & afternoon heat. Ask for a/c unit on the back wall to avoid puddles at door.”
  • Front door and windows from the bed. Note no a/c above door
  • Inside of fridge - not much space. Sorry about the blurry image!
  • Queen Bed with built in headboard and lights. Best place to watch TV is end of bed.
  • Retro Vanity unit. This is the only light in the bathroom.
  • Shower on left, bathroom door to bedroom ahead. Ancient blue carpet.
  • Toilet beside vanity unit. Note the retro floor tiling.
  • 1960's ventilation unfortutately grows mould on ceiling
