My wife and I visited Blickinstal in the beautiful Barossa Valley after a trip through the Adelaide Hills. What a wonderful day and our stay at Blikinstal topped it off superbly. On arrival, Jenny provided us with afternoon tea. We went into town for dinner and then we watched the sun set over the hills outside our room. Today we...

I'll start by saying what a great location this is, nestled on the edge of a hill with a lovely westward view overlooking the Barossa it's hard not to take a few minutes in the afternoon sitting on the garden bench with beverage in hand taking in the peaceful surroundings and glorious sunset. You can even see the sun reflecting...

Spent 2 nights here exploring the local area. It's very well situated and nothing in the Barossa is more than a 20min drive, and usually closer. Staff were friendly and helpful, accommodation was clean and well serviced. Rates are reasonable. Worth considering for a weekend getaway on a budget

Blickenstall is a Barossa icon, with a 40 year history of offering great accommodation with great hosts. We stayed in the block of two apartment style cottages. They are well fitted out and comfortable, but there is no longer any personal touch. The gardens/grounds have been let go, the casual seats on the veranda looked welcoming, but so dirty and...

Dear CraigHW, I'm so sorry to make you disappointed with our place and thank you for your helpful advise. We struggle a long time to find a good gardener during that time, they are the real hottest guy in Barossa.... Now, our garden gets its touch again~~! The garden and walkway has been tidied up. And now we cleans casual...

Part of the reason I choose a specific property has to do with the people who host us and knowledge of the local scene.  With so many choices in the  Barossa Valley, that insider perspective is like gold. Unfortunately it seems this property has changed hands and lost that local touch.   We asked for help with dinner reservations, none was...

Dear ExperienceCollectorPDX, I'm so sorry that I cannot give you some good suggestions at that time (╯﹏╰). I'm new staff here and new to Barossa but I'm willing to learn more about Barossa. It's really a lovely charming place. Helen told me a lot about the valley and I'm going to have a little trip around this area just like...

we arrived at the end of the heavy rains that devastated several areas of the Barossa Valley. A young man helped us with our luggage in the pouring rain. The unit was very nice with large glass windows that looked out onto a garden. It had a very nice living room area and kitchen area with complementary port, coffee, and...

We stayed here in September - beautiful and peaceful. Lovely afternoon tea - fresh home made cooking. Fireplace was a bonus - my partner lit it and we enjoyed the warmth in the room. We were made very welcome.

We stayed 2 nights in an apartment-loft next to vineyards at Blickinstal in the middle of the Barossa Valley. There were 2 of such units next to each other on a slope, and 4 smaller units on a lower slope. Our accommodation was 40 years old, but clean and well maintained. What made it particularly special was the complimentary full...

Wonderful small bed & breakfast, privately run, against the hills and away from traffic. Individually cooked breakfast plus afternoon tea. Best view of the valley from an un-marked outlook above the B&B. Rooms are a bit rustic, but comfortable.

The room was very comfortable, well appointed and has every convenience one might need on a short stay away from home, including complimentary local port for a nightcap on a cold night. Our host Sue, was there to welcome us and show us to our room when we arrived and introduced us to the new owner, Han. Our delicious breakfast...
