Stayed here overnight and can't complain at all. The room was air-conditionined and spacious with a good bathroom. The area was quiet and the pub does a delicious meal. Good place to stay a few nights if you intend on staying around damper.

Travelled to Karratha for overnight stay to do shopping and stayed in Dampier. Went up to Hotel with kids for dinner. Sign says "Pub Grub" and that it is. Overall meals were good, large servings, well cooked but nothing outstanding. Sat out on deck with ocean views, hotel has seen better days is a bit tired, outside was set up...

Very old hotel and lots of noise . The room was not so clean and the linens were so dark. I had burger at the bar and it was good. I have not tried the restaurant at the time so I cannot make any comment on this.

Travelling from Melbourne to Broome with a dog, in the January heat up the coast gives you a great perspective on pet friendly accommodation. Staying at the Mermaid was by far, hands down the best pet friendly accommodation of the whole trip. Regardless of pet friendly or not the rooms are fantastic. Clean, tidy, modern, everything worked, A/C was awesome...

First time here and wow upon entering the restaurant section we were taken back to retroville! It looked like it was once a Chinese restaurant and the decor suited the 1970s which is kinda fun really. We ordered chicken burgers n chips. The burger was tasteless and for $22 it seemed overpriced with a small side of chips. The chicken...

We thank you for your feedback about our venue. We would politely like to point out a couple of things to you. The average price for a chicken burger and chips in our area at a hotel or bar is $20. our price is a little more at $22. We are confident our burger is worth a little bit more,...

Had lunch there and enjoyed it. Staff friendly and welcoming, the menu was impressive for a pub with things like home made chicken kiev, club sandwiches, burritos , roasted duck and more. Prices were reasonable. Amazing views of the blue water in the beer garden and good aircon in the bar to escape the heat. Wouldn't hesitate to go back...

Room was clean and tidy, and the bathroom spacious. Outdoors around the hotel was quite rough. Enjoyed the pub too however food was a let down at the restaurant. Customer service was great from all areas.

Went to the hotel to see how it related to Red Dog the movie but there wasn't even an info board. The Red Dog Memorial in Dampier had a little info but apparently the best place to go is Karratha library if you want to know about Red Dog.
