Just spent 4 nights in our van on a powered site, $40 per night. Lovely big site, shady. Quiet neighbours. Excellent service at the shop. V clean toilet block. Amazing Wharton’s Beach close by, also beautiful Duke of Orleans Bay. Highly recommended.

We had three nights at Orleans Bay Caravan Park last week and really enjoyed it. Hosts were very friendly and helpful. It's on Duke of Orleans Bay that you can walk down to, we had a swim but was very weedy from a storm that had recently come in, but still a good place to walk. Just 3km away is the stunning Wharton Beach that we swam at every day, it is beautiful!! But 4 wheel drives can drive on it, something I don't like, but maybe that's because I don't have one! Owners let us change sites, when we weren't so happy with first one offered, and we had a grassy spot, under trees. A family friendly place, quiet and peaceful while we were there. Pet friendly which was great for us. Great hot showers, 2 or 3 shower blocks around, older but very clean and well maintained. One

If you like nature, peaceful surroundings and clean facilities this is NOT the place for you! If you like late night parties with loud music and screaming women, more cars, quad bikes and dune buggies than people, the ambience of Kwinana freeway then this IS the place for you! What a waste of a special location. It is a shame management condones this.

Great location and a decent size area to pitch our tent. No grassed area to pitch our tent, more ideal for caravans as found the ground hard and difficult to keep things clean. Showers were hot and plenty available, just needs upgrading. Shop was great for essentials and service friendly.

Stayed at Lucky Bay but travelled out to Orleans Bay for the day. Chris was kind enough to allow us to use the caravan park amenities for a small fee to cook our lunch. The caravan park was extremely close to a very calm beach for families with activities such as tennis/basketball court & mini golf, and the grounds were quiet & well kept with grass. We also enjoyed some of the most delicious soft serve ice-cream 🍦 from the well stocked shop for our dessert as we were departing. Chris was very helpful with his knowledge of the area.

Good caravan park. Has fuel and gas. But the best part is that it’s near Wharton Beach. Great cold water surf and great fishing. Wonderful cooking up freshly caught fish and having a glass of a WA white wine with it

Great location, great unit with lots of beds and lounge. All very clean and functional, a little dated but that doesn’t bother me. Easy to access beaches and owner gave great advice on map where to drive, where to see sunset and what not to miss. Only pain was no linen provided. Only bottom sheet on beds. Had to bring sleeping bags and towels and I didn’t hear need to bring your own pillows so had to make pillows out of clothes lol. Flying from perth it would have been great to hire linen and towels but realistically in this remote location it’s probs not practical. So don’t forget your pillow. Shop had lots of stores for snacks etc but weren’t serving from kitchen. Had to go 20km up road and had dinner at great pub there. Great weekend adventure!

Great location with an abundance of beautiful beaches and walks nearby. Facilities adequate but very basic. Needs a facelift and landscaping. Lack of any recycling facilities was really upsetting with so many recyclable items going straight to landfill.

We booked a park home at the Duke of Orleans Caravan Park on their new website. Communication was easy and it was ready for us when we arrived. This part of the coast is really special - Wharton Beach is sublime - and Chris provides a map to help you explore. There’s no signal or WiFi, and it’s basic accommodation, but that’s what we expected and we had all we needed - a TV, a fridge and a (slightly dodgy) gas hob, so all good. The park is a good set up, and it’s spotlessly clean. Plenty of hot showers and a well stocked shop. Apart from a slightly dodgy gas hob, the only real criticism was I couldn’t find any recycling bins anywhere. Something of a surprise in a place where you’re very aware of the environment.

Very peaceful and great setting, this was our 3rd visit there however will not return as it is overpriced for what you get, plenty of vacant sites and charges $41 per night for powered site. Should be encouraging travellers with reasonable prices being 85 km from Esperence.
