So, let's start with the nice things. Extremely friendly people. Attentive and pro-active. But, there is a huge misleading item. We often stay at this chain, and have come to expect a certain level of experience. Business nice, or at the least, a cut above the typical Days Inn, Super 8, or Howard Johnson. Have generally found them to be pretty close to Wingate or LaQuinta quality. Not so here. This is clearly a revamped Days Inn or Super 8. Rooms are clean, but not quiet. Walls are thin, the hallways echo, and the Breakfast consisted of Yogurt or cold cereal. Again, staff was great. The place was clean, and they are trying. But I was just expecting so much more, especially based upon some of the great reviews. Price was certainly nice, but you get what you pay for here...... Really wanted to rate it 2 and one half stars, but not an option.

Well kept, very clean and newly renovated hotel. Lobby smelled fresh and clean at all times. Great value for the price I paid. Staff was friendly and courteous. Quick check in and check out. Breakfast was good. Will come back again.

Funeral and family visit. Last thing needed was additional problems. Don’t recommend staying here. Linens were not fresh. Spend a bit more, get clean carpet, security knowing the bedding is fresh. Location easy though and breakfast was okay.

When we checked in the friendly and helpful desk clerk asked us if we wanted a second floor room. We did not since we are older, there are no elevators and we did not want to lug suitcases up the stairs. He asked again. I asked why would we want a top floor room. And he responded that some people don't like to hear anyone above them. I thought it would be no big deal. It was. We should have listened to the clerk. The ceiling/floors are so thin that it sounded like a football team of elephants was about to crash through the floor. In addition, if you have a room with a door to the next room (to create a "suite" I suppose) you will hear every sound they make. It sounded as though they were throwing themselves against the wall of the shower. I finally knocked on their door at 11 pm and asked if they could be a bit more quiet. Fortunately they were most apologetic and hushed a bit. But the noise from upstairs kept up until midnight. Lumpy pillows and a mediocre breakfast were also disappointing. Very good were the gorgeous bathrooms. But you can't sleep in them. And sleep was why we stayed at the Microtel. Unfortunately, we did get much and will not stay at that brand hotel again.
