Great hotel, great location. Unfortunately the show is being let down by some strange breakfast staff who take ages to poach eggs and housekeeping calling on the room after 9pm to empty dustbins (?!?!?) Such a pity. Could do better...

We stayed over for the evening after visiting the caves and the visitor's center. The hotel is one of the best I have see, the decor was chosen meticulously and the over all feel of the hotel was warm and welcoming. The rooms were spacious and comfortable with everything you could need. The bathroom had a spacious shower and bath....

Wow! Friendly reception followed by smiling restaurant staff. One of the staff was so knowledgeable about the whole area as well and helped us organise our itinerary the next day. Great food, too. Outstanding views from all the rooms. Great value for money as well.

My husband and I stayed here for a couple of nights whilst visiting the Cradle of Humankind area. The hotel was in an ideal location to visit the famous caves and the Visitor centre and surrounds. The small infinity pool was very welcoming after a day out, which looked out over the lovely hills. I was looked after well with...

We spent one night at this lovely hotel as we felt we needed two days to explore the Cradle of Humankind. We do not regret our decision. The hotel is small, intimate and friendly and makes a perfect stopover to enjoy this very special South African World Heritage Site. All the rooms have beautiful views of the vast grasslands of...

Let us be honest: the Maropeng Boutique Hotel is "in the middle of no where "... but, it's a heaven of beauty and peace. The hotel itself is built in a modern architecture, sober but stylishly, with a nice design in al the details. It uses the slopes of the hill on which it is situated and the view is...

We enjoyed our stay. The Hotel rooms were clean and comfortable. The view from the back door was amazing. The staff were friendly and ready to help. The caves were informative. The hotel should have a halaal menu or a bigger variety for vegetarians. I would highly recommend it.

We stayed only one night after visiting Cradle of Humankind and Sterkfontein caves, both are well worth the visit. We wanted somewhere to eat and to get a good nights sleep before our long drive in the morning. The room I can not fault.. the view from the patio was breathtaking. We had dinner there that night, our waiter was...

Most people have had a rough 2016 and I needed a mini break just to make space for the new year ahead. I couldn't have chosen a better place to come clear my head and reconnect with myself. The hotel is less than an hour outside of Jhb, the drive is scenic and peaceful. The hotel is quiet and boasts...
