The location for Pine Crest Inn, Tryon, NC is a secluded B & B, good for those who wish quiet and solitude. Our room had squeaky floors, curtains were hung on a bathroom shower rod, a broken window, and a dirty, filthy air return vent on the floor (lint, dust) easily seen. When we checked in, keys were unavailable/would not... More

We had a warm welcome by the Inn's host. We had booked a nice 1-bedroom suite on the second floor of one of the cottages. The living room had a larger than normal refrigerator for a hotel room. I was able to fit all our cooler contents into it. You should not book this room if you have any problems... More

This is the first time either of us had been to Tryon and this Inn. We chose the Inn because it is well located, adjacent to lovely towns, National parks and memorials, wineries. We selected a cottage and were happy to have a little cabin to ourselves. We were surprised that the website and the materials we had on the... More

We spent two days at Pinecrest Inn, and found it to be quiet and relaxing. It is a little different than other places we stayed, and that might be because we were here on Monday and Tuesday. You select your breakfast time the night before. The next morning you select between two main courses. Other items are included with both... More

We stayed here 15-20 years ago and it was one of the most outstanding Select Registry Inns in the Country. The room this time was mediocre at best; there were live bugs in the bathroom, and only one chair in the room. Evidence of delayed maintenance was everywhere. There was no hospitality. Although clearly advertised as a restaurant, they only... More

The Inn was lovely; the staff, the property, and the food were all wonderful! The staff was attentive to any needs that needed to be met. The room was comfortable. The lady who took care of us at breakfast remembered us from the evening before when we checked in and had conversations with us. The 1906 Pine Crest Inn is... More

Staff and manager remarkably pleasant and accommodating. It was nice to be addressed by name after initial introductions. We only ate breakfast at the Inn. Limited breakfast selection, but served promptly by attentive and friendly staff. Room was very clean clean, but needed painting and freshening.

This was a lovely stop on our trip from Charleston to the Biltmore House. The staff was very cordial, breakfast was delicious and plentiful, the grounds were beautiful, and the bed was very comfortable. While the main building was nice and well-maintained, our individual room looked like it could use some refurbishing. It was a little worn from the years... More

Never felt more welcome & taken care of; had a very romantic time! Loved the way the room was set up for us when we arrived, our favorite wine & a bouquet of beautiful flowers. From the food to the location, we couldn't have asked for more! So many nearby quaint towns to shop, eat, go hiking & so much... More

We spent a long weekend in the Stone Cottage for almost $600 a night. When learning we would be staying in the place Hemingway used to stay we were thrilled! The photos of the cottage looked charming and we had been to the Pine Crest in the past. We were disappointed to arrive to a tired, worn-out rambler with peeling... More
