We had the pleasure of staying at the Front Street Inn as a Birthday getaway! We loved everything about it. The room was amazing, ( we had the Hemingway ) from the bed to the balcony it was just perfect! Polly's breakfast in the morning was fantastic, fresh, not to be missed. The location is within walking distance to everything,... More

I have visited the Front Street Inn several times and it gets better each time! The hospitality and kindness are unparalleled. Not only was my room request accommodated, but my dietary restrictions were also met. They also asked about all my activities and offered encouragement and support when I was making a presentation for my job. By the time I... More

Richard and Polly are super nice people. This is a great spot in downtown. Every morning there is coffee and breakfast downstairs. Easy walks in an area of historic homes. Many restaurants and bars nearby.

Front Street Inn in located in the historic area of Wilmington in a building originally built by the Salvation Army. It is one block off the Riverwalk, so it is very convenient to some very good restaurants, and not too far from museums and other historic sites. This Bed & Breakfast is located in downtown Wilmington, so it's quaint and convenient. We parked and were able to walk to the shops and restaurants. We stayed one night in the Hemingway Room. The room was on the second floor, large and comfortable with a nice balcony facing Front Street. The couple that operate the Inn are very accommodating... More

I would echo the vast majority of recent comments, so I'll be brief. Richard and Polly clearly care about providing a great stay, and our one-night visit was flawless. We stayed in the Georgia O'Keefe room, which was spacious and colorful. As has been said before, the photos don't begin to do this place justice--much nicer in person. Everything was... More

Though we had to arrive late due to the distance to travel after work, Richard was happy to assist us with after hours move in. The homemade breakfasts were incredible (I consistently went back for seconds). Unlike typical B&Bs, the Inn didn't... More
