My man and I looked up a few places before going on a mini 2 day getaway to Wilmington from our busy lives. When we got there, we were immediately drawn to the huge red door on Stemmerman's Inn. When we entered, we were greeted by an extremely warm and friendly gentleman, Michael. He could barely speak at the time...

He went above and beyond to assist me on such a short notice. I love Wilmington and visit several times a year.. I think I have found my home away from home.. Thanks Again!

At Stemmerman's Inn for a family wedding, 4 days and 3 nights. Could not have picked a better location. A+ hospitality and a class act. Michael in the office is a true southern gentleman and exactly where he needs to be. Comfort, amenities and safety are high priorities in this beautifully renovated inn. (Dixie Grill and Fork N Cork) The location is great, just a few minutes walk to endless amazing restaurants,...

Everything about Stemmerman's Inn was great! My best friend and I booked suite #1 for a girls weekend, and we couldn't have asked for a better place! Spotless, and the perfect size! Actually felt like I was in my own little apartment and didn't want to go home :) Mr. Michael (the innkeeper) was so helpful and so nice, there...

Located in a convenient area to the Historic district. our stay was comfortable. Mr. Michael is the perfect host! We were attending a formal affair nearby, and a full-length mirror would have been useful. The bathroom is downstairs, which poses an inconvenience, however, the atmosphere and Mr Michael's attention to detail made for a lovely stay. Would definitely stay there...

A great alternative to a commercial hotel or B&B. Each suite is two stories with a living area, kitchenette, and loft bedroom. Very clean and comfortable. Michael, who runs the establishment, was very nice and helpful. Would stay there again!

I was extremely pleased. The gentleman that runs the inn is one of the nicest people I've met in my travels. This place is a must of visiting front street in wilmington. Everything is in walking distance, comedy clubs, the cotton exchange, serpentarum, kids meseum, two wedding venues, numerous clubs, shops, and restaurants including a really good fondue establishment is...

Came to Wilmington mid-week and had a great stay at Stemmermans. Michael greeted us and helped with our bags and got our parking sorted out. The room was clean and comfortable, with everything you could need. Great location too. I would highly recommend this inn to anyone wishing to visit lovely Wilmington!

“I don't completely recall if all rooms had this, but our suite had a skylight in the bedroom upstairs..which was beautiful at night to look at the stars but a bit bright in the morning. We didn't but you may want to ask if there is a way to close it to block some light out if you plan on sleeping in. But I must say, it did not take anything away from my stay. :)”
