Tsitsa Falls is one of those unique finds you will either fall in love with, or hate. In our case, it was a place that crept into our hearts and one we will return to in a heartbeat. This place has soul. It is completely "off the grid", so forget about electricity and Internet, it is just you and nature....

Perfect rejuvenation with a quick walk down and swim near the falls and family vibe - with off the grid relaxation! Comfortable and clean and appreciated the veggie meal! I'm coming back to stay longer - overnight was definitely not long enough! Thank you guys! Keep it up!

My wife and I stayed at Tsitsa Falls backpackers for two nights (in their outdoor Rondawel). Adi and Angela were amazingly hospitable, extremely friendly, and really lovely people. We went hiking (and even took their delightful children along), which was great. We saw the waterfall, exceptional scenery, and even some bushmen paintings on the rocks. Adi is extremely knowledgable about...

We spent an unforgettable night at Tsitsa. The kids did not want to leave. Its clean and well maintained. Off the grid. And the fire pit is the best place to spend an afternoon and evening with a glass of wine. Short hike will take you to river for swimming and a waterfall.

Ang and Adi are the nicest hosts and it is so interesting to see how they live out in this middle of nowhere. They have lots of dogs that are allowed everywhere. The hosts are super helpful and kind. The nature is gorgeous with the waterfall so close, you can just walk down to it in a few minutes. The...

If you are looking for something really really special then we would advise you stop for a few days with AD and Angie. This is one of our favourite places to just go and hide from the world. The waterfall is amazing and we have often spent the whole day down in the rock pools and jumping off the rocks....

This is a wonderful please for people who enjoy simplicity, generosity, friendship, a great landscape. This is not a place for people who seek luxury, "professional service" etc. It is in some way noncommercial. There is no electricity, so the lighting is done with paraffine lamps (the only downside - I would recommend the owners to put PV on their...

I have had the pleasure of staying at this Backpackers three times. Camped twice and stayed in the house once. The setting is beautiful and serene in the hills of the Eastern Cape. Oh and there is the added bonus of an incredible waterfall literally in the backyard. The hosts are wonderful company and offer endless adventure from whitewater kayaking...

Tsitsa Falls Backpackers took our breath away. We travels through the eastern Cape and decided on the spur of the moment to see what the Falls look like. The Backpackers belong to Adriaan and Angela who bought the land 7 years ago and fixed the old farmhouse to serve as lodgings. The did a jolly good job in fixing everything...

Although we didn't stay over, our group of ten had a great time at Tsitsa. We did the half-day adventure which included a zipline across the gorge, a quick look at some rock paintings, and an afternoon swimming in the large pool at the bottom of the falls. A longer excursion with a hike is also available. AD was really...
