The management practices at Medjumbe are more reflective of a hotel half their price. Think long and hard before you commit to a holiday on Medjumbe as you could be buying off far more than you planned. Medjumbe is one of the 32 Quirimbas islands. The lodge is the island and the island the lodge. If you are looking for...

Dear Tracy, Warm greetings from Anantara Medjumbe Island Resort & Spa. Thank you for taking the time to post a review of your recent stay. The island is situated in a location with a four meter tidal range and with the beautiful white sand beaches this allows for fantastic walks around the island and out to reef heads for snorkeling....

It takes a bit of getting to, but well worth it! My wife and I went here for our honeymoon for a week in 2011, and just loved it! The beach is stunning, with a long thin stretch of sand that stretches out at one end which is the perfect spot for watching the sunset. The rooms and food were...

We were soooo lucky to be upgraded to this island when the island we were scheduled to go to was closed for repairs from tropical storm damage. From the moment we arrived by speed boat, we were gobsmacked by the views. The rooms were gorgeous and the sea view from all of the decks just breathtaking. Food was scrummy. This...

Perfect spot for the last few days of our honeymoon. Beautiful setting and very well designed. The individual chalets are lovely, all set on the beach. The meals were superb (for the region) - so much fresh fish. Good wine selection and regularly re-stocked minibar. Superb attention to detail both in the design and from the staff and management. Our...

What an amazing place! We spent 7 nights at Mejumbe Island Resort, which can only be described as paradise! An incredibly well laid out lodge on a small island, hours away from anything! All the staff were just amazing, from Abu our valet to Tomi and all the waiters and barmen - always so happy and nothing was ever too...

Wow, what a holiday! And a lot of this was due to the swift and very professional service offered by Shireen of Mozambique Tours. Medjumbe is a stunning location – you are treated like royalty and the friendliness of the staff is unbelievable! Our whole family enjoyed every moment, from the time we woke up to the time we went...

Thank you to Jason, Karen and all their staff for providing a memorable visit to Medjumbe. It's the perfect destination to unwind and take in the shear beauty of the turquoise sea and indulge in the amazing food and wine. In my opinion, the website does not do the Island justice, but then again perhaps Rani Resorts have done that...

Once you arrive at in Mozambique, you get whisked away on a charter plan to an island that is truly magical. The island is small and private . It is a perfect seclusion. There are no inhabitants on the Islands besides the staff at Medjumbe and some birds. Just you and the ocean. The welcome is amazing on arrival and...
