On arrival at half 11 in the nite they had no room for me or my family.. the put me into a triple room with 4 of uz and told us we would be moved the next morning.. when I arrived at the reception he ask me would 2 double rooms do and I said yes at 2 of the children wer 16.. we went to the room and unpacked all our clothes and got ready for the pool. As I was sunbathing by the pool the manager came over and said my room was ready to my shock I said you put me into my room already.. he made me go up and pack all my stuff again and put me into a different room.. half way trough my 2 wk holiday my towel wasn’t changed so I asked for them to change them I also made a complaint to manager and because I did they treatened me with police and said I was troublesome.. For the rest of the wk I was living on my last nerve.. never book it it’s an absolute dive.. and also there is nothing around the hotel it’s miles away from Sunny beach.. if I could give it a 0 I would

Dear customers, we cannot please everyone, but we offer everyone the same conditions and service. To us, you are all the same and we treat you with respect, no matter how you feel about us. You can also see the other customer ratings and judge for yourself who is wrong and who is right. The hotel is what it is and provides enough amenities and opportunities for a good rest with a normal quality-price ratio. Each of you is here to rest and gather strength, but different people and nations understand this differently. Some enjoy the peace and quiet that we offer (due to the fact that the hotel is small - 48 rooms in total), and others love more alcoholic beverages and even drugs, which unfortunately they themselves manage to find in abundance on the streets of Sunny Beach (as and in all famous and not so famous tourist centers in Europe and elsewhere). Therefore, under the influence of various substances, they treat the surrounding people - tourists, hotel staff and others - arrogantly and offensively. They are noisy and ill-mannered and disturb the other tourists, but they don't care about that. Therefore, I will ask you to be more lenient towards us after such unjustly slanderous posts on the web. I wish you a pleasant summer vacation and if you choose the Regatta Palace Hotel, you yourself will dine in the truth of my words!

The hotel is sparkling clean- our towels were changed every day.Nice swimming pool and located close to the beach. The location though was so so as there was nothing interesting to do at the place- you needed to go by bus to Nessebar ( 15-20 mins) or to the Sunny Beach ( 20-25 mins) to go to a nice restaurant or stroll along the shops. The staff in the hotel was friendly and the bartender Evgenij was the kindest person I have ever met. Always willing to help or advise and patient to play the songs you asked him to play.

Thank you for the post. I am sincerely glad that you had a good time with us. Yes around is not much fun, but as the bus stops are next to the hotel, and we are small walking distances from anywhere is no problem moving. Important that here with us in Sunny Beach, feel free to walk in the dark. The safety of tourists in the first place. Personally, I love to walk in silence and darkness on the alleys of Sunny Beach and Nessebar. I sincerely wish you all the best!

So was dangerous fire hazard by stairs and fire exit .people took photos to complain should be sorted now . And what gym never seen one . Play ground by pool a tiny swing . Choice off meals the kitchenware was only as big as my kitchens at home . No entertainment . It is not what said on tin . If it’s cheap enough fair enough . I paid to much for a sub standard hotel . I also paid extra to get upgraded and didn’t no one seemed to know what I was on about and I was not only person this happens to . We mainly sat around moaning about how sub standard hotel was . There was also a care taker that like shouting at you if you stand on grass . But to be fair he was the best entertainment there . Only thing can say was clean and close to beach and other facilities also there also a few fight out side I seen and a brilliant Liza place on corner . Prob a good place to satay group lads . Families stay away

Thank You for your comment about your stay last season! We want to explain that the hotel was built according to requirements for 4-star hotel and according to the requirements of the fire safety authorities. The hotel is checked regularly and is safe. As you know, Regatta Palace is a small hotel and we do not have an animation room and we do not advertise animation room or entertainment, but we have taken care of and provided a playground for children with a wide range of toys as well as a children's section in the pool, billiards, table football and darts, children's playground in the garden. There is fitness and infrared sauna on the fourth floor, it is payable and whenever you want you may take the key from the reception. We will take notice of your comment and will try to give more information to our guests so as they not to be left with the wrong impressions.

Trip Adviser comments made me book this hotel and how wrong most comments on this thread was On arrival it was lovely, nice room lovely lady at reception ( was her last day ) Next day we regretted everything It’s around 45 min from the strip or 20 lev The food is awful, has put me off all inclusive for life !! It’s sat in a hot hold that I am sure does not work. Even tho it’s a variety of options is all cheap and I’m talking extremely cheap it smells funny tastes funny and looks funny. I wasn’t expecting a lot from the reviews I read but surely cold everything and grey chicken can’t be right ? Me and my partner are bread all week ! Hotel staff are awful, they either do not understand English or they just don’t want to bother with you. They don’t even smile. The bar girls didn’t even make eye contact and it was pain to get me a simple drink for them. The bar is basic with all local CHEAP spirits vodka is like acid wine is like vinegar. I would like the owner to go taste the food and drink there as clearly they are looking at the price of it and not the taste. I would of happily paid more and got nicer food ! Nice rooms and cleaned everyday Cleaners very polite and best staff in there No hotel entertainment and your miles away from any Hotel regrets ! Don’t book !

Hello, I am very sorry that you were dissatisfied with your stay at our hotel. Regatta Palace is located on the main transport street of Sunny Beach and has bus stops both in the central part of the resort and in the direction of old Nessebar. If you use a taxi, you use it at your own risk and pay, but it's not up to us. Regarding food - Bulgarian food is very different from what you are used to eating in England. We issue fresh and healthy food, not semi-finished products. Whenever a customer asks for something to their liking, we provide it as much as possible, of course. The alcohol is Bulgarian, but it is certified and is drunk everywhere and in the other restaurants and bars in Sunny Beach and Nessebar. Forgive me but I know this better than you. The rooms are equipped with individual air conditioners for better comfort of tourists and if someone has a problem with them, they can contact the reception as it is everywhere and get help. As an owner, I eat and live in the hotel on an equal footing with our clients and I am with them all the time. They can stop me and touch whatever they want. I have not refused anyone's assistance. Again, unfortunately, but yes, not everyone can understand English when they speak fast. Even me sometimes. So I ask them to repeat, if necessary, something incomprehensible or new to us several times. There is a problem everywhere with the staff, the important thing is to be positive and respectful to the people who serve us when we rest. I wish you all the best.

We stayed here last year and I thought it was nice then. I think it’s improved a little this year. There seams to be more dinner choices that I recognise such as pastas and sauces, chips and nuggets etc they are really catering to everyone now. The local dishes are also tasty if you try them as well as the soups, salads, cheeses and hams. Our 1 year old loved the local style meatballs and ate bowls full of the soups and local yogurt and honey. The pool area is spotless, the cleaners and maintenance are out early hours ensuring cleanliness and safety around the grounds. Our baby had lots of fun playing in the outdoor swings etc and also inside there is shelves full of toys and games next to the pool table. The rooms are spotless and cleaned daily by very friendly staff (although they speak no English they were always very smiley) For the price of the hotel and the location being so close to other places and attractions I feel it’s a perfect little getaway.

This is not a 4* hotel!!! I don’t go off the previous reviews as anyone could be writing them and I like to see for myself.... in fact this is the first review I’ve wrote never done anything like this but feel it’s needed in this case!! Me and my partner and son have just got back from a week here and I hate to say it but all the reviews wrote about this place are true!! The hotel does not meet the grading to be a 4* it would be lucky to make a 3!! Where do I start the list is endless! On arrival the hotel does not look as good as the photos online very small, small pool I even asked if there was another pool as it was nothing like the pictures online, the food is awful very little selection pork nearly every day or fish neither look inviting there is one small serving trolley with a selection of 6/8 items that’s it no separate kids choice and the food is cold when complained about this was pointed to a microwave sat in corner absolutely shocking!!!! We ate out everyday the only thing we could eat was the toast in the morning and the ice cream!! There is no food snacks available around the pool or anything they put pizza on as a snack everyday around 4pm which is cold and the same one every day !! Can only get a tea or coffee in a morning or at evening meal then you will be lucky if the water is hot!! Hotel staff are very rude and miserable they do t speak to you or smile!! Apart from Only 2 ladies on reception they were pleasant!! The maintenance man was horrible of you got in his way he would rant and rave at you in Bulgarian the maids were rude ! The hotel has only a pool bar and the lobby bar which may I add was never open the whole week we was there so after 10pm when the pool bar shuts you cannot get a drink! There is no entertainment what so ever if your lucky depending on which staff were on they may put music channel on the tv near pool bar but you couldn’t hear it while laid on sunbeds and that’s another thing only 32 sunbeds for the entire hotel ! Good job beach short walk away ! No ice creams or lollies or slush or snacks available for kids during the day , the pool bar is small they serve drinks in the smallest cups once you had two sips it’s gone the one beer pump they have was always playing up or going off same with pop machine very little selection of drinks to choose from! The rooms are ok nothing to shout about my sons bed was a fold out chair barring in mind he is 14 not a little child, which I had to pay supplement for him on room the least they could do was give him a bed! The shower was very small what you would expect for a 4* hotel! The only positive thing I can say is that the pool is kept clean! And the rooms are cleaned everyday however there is a but the towels they give you are stained ! So overall we paid for all inclusive and ended up eating and drinking out and spending very little time in the hotel as there was no atmosphere and we were sick or seeing miserable staff which are also rude! So please if your like me and don’t go by the reviews at least take the time to read mine I will always read the reviews from now on and if most of them are bad like this hotel it’s worth avoiding at all costs! Not a family hotel not 4star no atmosphere food crap served cold no entertainment only one bar ...... list goes on regatta palace you have a lot to learn if you want to be a 4 star and a lot of work to do get good reviews!!!!

Dear Mrs. Jenny, We are very sorry that your recent stay did not meet expectations. We appreciate your comments and will share these with our teams so that we can continue to improve our services. We want to explain that the hotel was built according to requirements for 4-star hotel and we as other guests comments also emphasizes on "small hotel". Also we do not have and we do not advertise Olympic size pool and if Regatta Palace were big hotel there will be a place for enough sun chairs. As you know, Regatta Palace is a small hotel and we do not have an animation room and we do not advertise animation, but we have taken care of and provided a playground for children with a wide range of toys as well as a children's section in the pool, billiards, table football and darts, children's playground in the garden. We have standard double rooms with 2 regular beds and extendable beds for extra persons, children from 2-12 are free of charge and guest from 12-99 years on extra bed pay 70% of the price of the regular beds but we do have rooms with three regulars beds we hope next time you visit us you will book such room. Please note that food is buffet style, but the food is constantly hot and the warm showcase, as well as the cool showcase, support the requirements for maintaining a healthy meal. The menu is weekly and we do not repeat dishes. We have a microwave for guests who have small children and they use it to reheat food especially in the hours outside the restaurant working hours. Of course, all other guests can also use it. Nevertheless, we are Looking forward to welcome you again in Regatta Palace! Your Sincerely,

I would like to bring to your attention the details and problems of myself and my partners stay in the hotel regatta palace. We booked our two week stay at the hotel regatta palace from the 12-26 June through love holidays. We booked what we thought was going to be an amazing all inclusive 4 star hotel. While at first sight we were happy and impressed with the hotel room things only went down from there. It didn’t take us long to realise it was anything but 4 star. The two lamps or either sides of the bed and switches that hung down. Both switches were cracked and the wires were terribly exposed. My boyfriend actually received two small shocks when trying to carefully turn his on. Then there was also two plugs that were loose and coming away from the wall which we were reluctant to use aware of the possibly dangers. The general cleanliness of the room was also poor, with dust covering the tv and other surfaces which we ourselves cleaned after the first few days realising the cleaners weren’t going to do so. Our white sheets also had yellowing stains on one occasion. One of our biggest issues was the fact the main door to the hotel room did not close and lock properly. Several times we had returned to our room after the cleaner had been to find the door ajar as the mechanism would lock before the door was closed. This was concerning to us as we had valuables in our room and did not feel safe thereafter leaving them on display and felt the need to lock them away in our case as the room had no safe to fit them. Then there was the issues with the bathroom. Everytime either of us showered we had to cover the floor with towels as shower doors when closed left a gap where water would floor the bathroom. The seal around the bottom of the shower was also dirty and also allowed further water to seep out. The bathroom would also at random times throughout the day and especially night began to smell like dirty sewage. We would also here the flushing of all the other rooms toilets through our own. At times the smell was so unpleasant we had to open the door and spray anything we had to cover the stench. It was worst at night at made it uncomfortable to sleep. Then there was one day where the toilet paper that we were given was filthy and covered in mould spots. Of course we didn’t use and left it sitting until almost a week later one of the maids removed it. In general the bathroom was also not the most pleasant. Moving on from the disasters we experienced within the room itself, there was the lack of decent and varied food options. Most lunch and dinner consisted with some variation of pork, maybe chicken and a cold pasta dish. Despite set times for the meals to be served they were always out early meaning it would almost always end up being cold by the time we went to eat. Most nights we went elsewhere which was the exact opposite of what we booked for, an all inclusive hotel meaning we were out more money. The poolside bar where you would get your free drinks and juice as part of your all inclusive was not consistently manned. The sever would disappear and come over when they seen you which could be after several minutes or you would have to go ask reception where they would call upon them, normally from where they had been chatting or smoking outside another area. We would often approach the bar to find the the sever engaged in some other task with their back turned, browsing the internet for motor bikes, watching YouTube videos, or one time straightening their hair, or the time the male sever was watching inappropriate videos of scantily clad women. To conclude, All in all while we enjoyed our time in sunny beach the hotel was lacking and did not make our stay the most pleasant. I absolutely wouldn’t rate the hotel 4 star and think it utterly ridiculous to advertise it and charge it as so.

Dear Sir, We are very sorry that your recent stay did not meet expectations. We appreciate your comments and will share these with our teams so that we can continue to improve our services. But we are very surprised because any of your complains were not reported at the reception desk. Moreover, we remember our guest Barry and Shannon as we talked almost every day but never once you said anything about cleaning or technical problems. In terms of room cleaning, every room is checked before guests are accommodated, even if something is missed The reception is open 24 hours a day and is ready to help with any problem. We have technical support in the hotel that is ready to eliminate any problem does not need guests to solve technical problems. We checked the records from the reception and maintenance and found no information about technical issues. Room cleaning is daily from 09:00 to 16:00, towels are changed every day, and bed linen every three days. The toilet paper we received directly from the Factory and we do not have a musty toilet paper, the chambermaids should also not touch the guests' personal belongings. The hotel offers safe deposit boxes at the reception for an extra charge and this is described on the site and the information is provided to the travel company. About food please note that food is buffet style, we cannot start taking out more than 20 plates with food at the last 1 minute before starting time, but the food is constantly hot and the warm showcase, as well as the cool showcase, support the requirements for maintaining a healthy meal. Moreover, for breakfast, we have more than 40 food items that we give, for lunch and dinner, there are 5 cooked dishes - with meat and No meat and also grilled. Separately, the salads - 5 types, the desserts -6 types, the fruits - 6 types, also tea, coffee, juices, etc. The menu is weekly and we do not repeat dishes. We have a microwave for guests who have small children and they use it to reheat food especially in the hours outside the restaurant's working hours. Of course, all other guests can also use it. For the all-inclusive Pool bar, the bar's working hours are from 10:00 to 22:00 and we have never refused guest to be served, and yes on the bar are working human beings who have to be absent from 5 to 10 minutes for normal human things. Apart from serving guests, the bartenders also take care of the bar's hygiene as well as filling the bar with products needed to serve guests. But they have never refused to serve a guest. Your Sincerely,

We were here for a week with my son and we were very pleased with this quiet and very friendly, modern hotel! There is good internet everywhere. The rooms are clean and modernly furnished. The food is sufficient and varied for the low price we paid, though it is not our English taste, but we are here to explore other cultures. Alcohol is cheap and in large quantities :)! We sincerely recommend.
