Detailed Reviews
The whole experience at the Barns was fantastic, The hosts are absolutely lovely nothing is too much trouble they are always available but not intrusive.
Rooms are spotless lots of little extra touches from the lovely homemade flapjack upon arrival to the little bottle of washing up liquid and tea towel in case you eat in the room and also plates and knife and fork provided.
The breakfast is superb with homemade bread and marmalade locally produced sausage and bacon vegetarian breakfast also available. The breakfasts are award winning and they deserve the award.
We have stayed here before and certainly will stay here again I can 100% say no one should be disappointed from their stay at The Barns.
The only negative - well that is having to come home again!!

We stayed just after lockdown had lifted and this was our second visit. The Barns is such a beautiful place to stay and so comfy, friendly and welcoming. Room 1 is beautiful with a super amazing, massive bed and a really lovely bathroom. It's all beautifully furnished and decorated.
Breakfast (full English) was delicious, cooked fresh to order using locally sourced ingredients.
Communication was brilliant following cancellation and rebooking over the summer with virus lead shutdown but we were finally able to travel with the lifting of lockdown. Despite Covid19, Tony and Amanda have made a successful transition incorporating social distancing and safety measures throughout the property.
We love staying here. Thanks for a great weekend and we will be back!!

Amanda and Tony were wonderful hosts for our three night stay. Situated in a small country village just 10 minutes from the coast. Room was well appointed with extra touches such as a fridge, glasses, cutlery, plates and washing up liquid. They had thought of everything, even a welcome plate of home baked flapjacks! Breakfast was delicious and plentiful. We would happily recommend staying here and hope to return.

We had a 5 night stay at The Barns and it was wonderful. The room was beautifully furnished with a kingsize bed, large bathroom, tea and coffee making facilities, small fridge and a plate of delicious home made flapjack! Amanda and Tony go out of their way to make you feel welcome and are able to offer useful tips on where to eat and places to visit. Tony was also very helpful on cycling routes providing us with maps etc..and some good walks. There is plenty of outdoor seating and a covered area if you want to relax outside after a busy day. As for breakfast- WOW! There is a breakfast bar where you can help yourself to juice, cereal, fruit salad etc.. then you have a choice of a full English (veg option available), filled omelette plus plenty of toast, tea and coffee. Also option of porridge with honey and fruit. The Barns is in a really good location- 10 minutes from Cromer, 10 minutes from Felbrigg Hall and also close to Sheringham and Aylesham all worth a visit. We also visited Wells where you can walk through the pine forests onto Holkham Beach.
Re food, The Gunton Arms is fabulous and only a few miles away, Rocky Bottoms for fresh crab and lobster also fabulous. No 1 Cromer is an amazing fish and chip shop- get take away and sit on the pier. Yumy Yumy for Vietnamese food also in Cromer.
Would highly recommend staying at The Barns and we will definitely go back.

From the homemade flapjack on arrival, the comfy king size bed, the usual tea and coffee facilities including bottled water, biscuits, Amanda and Tony also provided plates and knives and forks. The fridge was a bonus too. Another nice touch was the washing up liquid, tea towel and sponge! The breakfast was excellent you could have as much or as little as you wanted (home made marmalade was great). Would highly recommend this little gem of a B&B. Nice base to explore the North Norfolk coast. Thank you Amanda and Tony - all we can say is EXCELLENT B&B and hosts. Mike & Eileen

The accommodation is well set back from the road and noise nuisance was not an issue with very little traffic at night. The parking is admittedly tight but do-able. The bedroom and bathroom were spacious and squeaky clean. All sorts of thoughtful extras were included such as a small fridge, plates and cutlery, washing up liquid, seat cushions for the outside seating and many others. Rooms have a small private seating area and there is a larger outside area for (presumably) communal use. Breakfasts were plentiful and nicely cooked with lots of choice. Amanda and Tony are good hosts, helpful and friendly with lots of knowledge and tips about the local area. We would definitely stay there again.

Husband & I stayed there last week. It was our second stay at The Barns as we enjoyed it so much the first time. There is nothing to fault here. Amanda and Tony are the very best hosts, so friendly and knowledgeable about the area and nothing is too much trouble for them. The extra touches in the extremely clean and well thought out accommodation also added to the pleasure of our stay (fridge; crockery, glasses, cutlery and last but not least the home cooked flapjacks on arrival). We shall certainly stay there again and highly recommend.

We stayed as a couple at the Barns in the middle of March this year, on a short visit to Norfolk, and couldn't have been happier to discover this little gem. The rooms were beautifully and tastefully decorated, spotlessly clean and the brick and flintstone walls were really "Norfolk" ! Tony and Amanda made us very welcome, right down to the flapjacks in the rooms on our arrival. The breakfasts were really good too. I'd highly recommend a stay here when you next visit Norfolk.

Stopped for 3 nights in November 2019. It’s a small B&B ideally situated to explore both the north Norfolk coast and the Broads. The accommodation is very comfortable and well appointed. The choice & quality of the breakfast was excellent. The owners were very friendly & helpful. The recommendations they gave for eating out in the area were excellent. It was our first visit to Norfolk and it’s a lovely part of the world, with plenty to see and do, we will certainly visit again and thoroughly recommend the Barns @ Cromer.

Our stay at The Barns was perfect from start to finish. The room was spotlessly clean, beautifully decorated and had everything you could possibly want including welcoming home baked treats. The warm communications we'd already received before our arrival reassured us that we were going to have a wonderful stay and we knew exactly what to do when we arrived - the self check-in was simple and without fuss. Breakfast was absolutely delicious with so much choice given and we could hear Amanda preparing all the fresh ingredients next door in her own kitchen. Amanda and Tony were such attentive hosts always making sure we had everything we needed and offering us more. We would, without hesitation, stay again and strongly recommend this beautiful accommodation to anyone wanting to visit this stunning area. Thank you Amanda and Tony for making our holiday so special and creating such wonderful, longlasting memories. Mel and Stewart
