The website claims that the food is exquisite and appreciated by foodies but the restaurant was empty, dirty, unwelcoming and the food was less than appealing. The crepes were not as described on the menu, drowned in whipped cream and tasteless. The soup was scorching hot and much too oily. The host was not very welcoming or accommodating and provided minimal advice for attractions in town. The accommodation was livable and spacious but unclean and in need of major repairs. On the bright side, the shower pressure was amazing. Thanks for the stay, but I will be looking elsewhere for accommodation if I come back to Cardston.

For those of you expected a Holiday Inn or Best Western, read no further and consider another hotel.

We booked this place as a stop between East Glacier and Waterton Lakes. The town of Cardston was the largest town outside of Waterton within a 50 minute drive of the park. When we got there, the owner was friendly and gave us the key to the room.

We got the upstairs unit which included 2 bedrooms, kitchen, bathroom, living area which had a couch, TV and 2 additional single beds. We were able to comfortably fit 3 adults and 3 kids. The grounds included the backyard which had a trampoline (didn't have safety net around it) and also a tree house. BEWARE - there was a hornets nest by the tree house when you climb up and my 5 year old got stung trying to climb up.

The age of the rooms, furniture and bedding was worn and could eventually use updating. Because the rooms were on the top floor, it was really warm in there. The weather during our stay was in the upper 80's outside, so it was pretty warm inside. They did have an AC unit within the main living area and an air purifier in one bedroom which cooled the room down sufficiently. Because it was so hot, the windows had to be let open. There were a few flies inside along with a pincher bug in our bed. So if that type of stuff bothers you, you should look for a hotel chain elsewhere.

So the best part of the stay was breakfast. It was a sit-down breakfast with a menu. You ordered what you wanted and the owner made it himself. The breakfast was delicious. The best part was that it was included in the price of the stay! So while the room wasn't of the highest quality, I think the value in what we paid for was excellent. The price of a room in Cardston is much cheaper than staying in the town of Waterton.

We liked the facilities quite a bit. The bed was comfortable and the rooms nice. The breakfast was delicious. Although it has wifi, it wasn't very good in the room. When we stepped outside (closer to the restaurant) it was fine. :-)

The owner shared a lot of history about the facility and the area which was very enlightening.

Parking is right next to the room.

The cat urine smell is so strong it will burn your eyes and throat. We opened all the windows, and still could not take the smell. The outlets have scorched marks and likely unsafe to use. The furniture is worn, dusty, and broken down. A broken fridge in the unit. No hand soap, towels with holes, stained bedding, visible mold on walls. I could go on and on. We ended up leaving early as we could not take it.

Well, this place was PERFECT for our family. We booked through hotels (dot) com and received a confirmation. However, well after the fact we learned that Cobblestone Manor double booked our room, and my family was left out in the cold. Ridiculous way to run a B&B.

My wife and I stayed on the 2nd floor room and the place is terrible. Was completely dirty, dozens of dead flies all around the place, the air conditioning doesn't work properly and the entire room was really, really hot. There are pieces of broken furniture everywhere, the sofas and pads are full of stains and dust, this is also true for the carpeted areas.

The kitchen garbage was completely full and smelly and was there before my arrival. There are greasy finger prints everywhere! They had no extra toilet paper available and the only one was about to end. All the towels and bed liners had a awful smell, like if they were stored for years!

I went to a local market to buy some basic stuff, like soap and toilet paper, and also I've decided to clean a few things by myself to feel a little less uncomfortable: all the light switches, door knobs, the toilet, the remote controls, etc. and everything was really greasy and dirty.

My reservation was made one month ahead and it states that I supposed to have free wi-fi, air conditioning system and all the stuff you expect to have when you are charged $150/night. None of this was true.

Disgusting is the best word I can use to define this place. This place doesn't worth $150/night. A value of $50/$60 would be a honest price for the level of confort, maintenance and cleanliness I found there.

I ended up finding another hotel in town and canceled my 3 nights reservation in the following morning after the first night. I preferred to pay the charges for the late cancelation than sleep there again.

As we drove in we found it like a junk yard behind the restaurant with the rental building like a converted garage. After much searching for someone we found that our booked room of a couple months had been downgraded. The upper suite with hot tub had been rented for a week or so over our one night reservation. At this point, still in shock, followed the proprietor as he walked in on a couple having a snack in the lower two bedroom suite. When it became evident he wanted us to share with these unfortunate folks we left.
While searching earlier I found the restaurant to be pretentious and overpriced.
We stayed that night at the South Country Inn downtown which was fine considering the circumstances.

The Cobblestone Manor B&B was in need of a thorough cleaning. We advised the owner that the room had not been cleaned, and no effort was made to address our concerns. The living room and bedroom were dusty, the bed linens had not been changed, and the bathroom had not been cleaned. There were greasy fingerprints all over the microwave, and the water glasses were filthy. There was a coffeepot with no coffee, and no dish soap or tea towels. For some bizarre reason, the floor mat was placed on the glass coffee table, and the television remote did not work. The bolt lock on the front door also did not work, so our only security was a flimsy doorknob lock.
The Cobblestone is a historic site in Cardston with an interesting history. The dining room was well appointed, and the breakfast was very good, but the rooms are not up to standard. If you stay in Cardston, consider booking into another B&B or a hotel.

We had booked to stay here for a night well in advance (months) so there should have been no issue with the fact that we were arriving but this turned out to be the most bizarre accommodation experiences i had ever had the misfortune to be a part of. We arrived to check in and parked and headed over to the house/restaurant. We could see 2 doors so we decided to knock on the one closest to the accommodation. When we did someone inside moved to another room out of sight. So we knocked a few more times and thought we would try the other door and we did. Still no response. So we tried the original door again only to see someone move to one of the backrooms through the window. So i went around that side of the house and knocked on a third door and still no answer. So after knocking on doors for 1/2 hour in the rain. We decided this was beyond a joke and we would look elsewhere for accommodation. So we hoped back in our car drenched to the bone from the rain and just as we were leaving the street a police car pulled into the street and took a long look at us and i straight away had the feeling that whoever was in the house had called the police. Anyway we ended up having to drive to another town 45 minutes away and stay there. Thinking that i would just put it down to experience and be done with it. But a few days later i get a email not saying i see you didn't show i hope everything is alright. No i got an email saying i see you didn't show where is our money, demanding that i do the right thing and pay what i owed for booking the room. So in my reply i asked where was doing the right thing when we tried to check in. I then get a email explaining how they were out of town and didn't return until 6:30pm and that they had left their adult autistic son at home and now they understand why he was saying someone was trying to break into the house, which in turn explained the police as we were leaving. Now im not blaming the son, i am putting the blame right at the feet of the owners. They knew they had guest arriving, why weren't they there to greet them. Even if they were planning on being back to be the ones to greet us, they didn't arrive until 6:30pm. So that meant we had to sit in the rain for hours just waiting to check in and even in the second email the owner still had the hide to ask if we intended to pay. I do not like to leave negative reviews to this extent because i understand this is someones livelihood but i couldn't just let this go and then find out they did the same to someone else. As for the accommodation, we had a quick look to see if the owners were in there when we were trying to check in and the accommodation is actually just a renovated shed. What the facilities are like we can not say but i know we will never even consider this place again.
