We've said for years we need to stay here and we finally did. It's a quaint little place with rooms decorated with antiques and memorabilia. The office had a wall of fame with all sorts of famous guests. Pet friendly so if you have allergies ask for a pet free room.

A small, unassuming motel built in the 1940's. It sits on the southbound side of the highway in Claresholm, Alberta. You can park within inches of your door, which was very convenient. The motel is about 100 feet or 33 meters from the highway but you will not hear any road noise because this place was built like a tank.... More

Stayed here 22 years ago. Came back this summer - 22 years too long. Classic old-fashioned motel - right on the highway (but not noisy) and next to a few restaurants - clean, quiet, affordable - everything you could ask for. Great separate rooms in the same suite for families, snorers, travelling duos. Great owner. Would definitely stay here again... More

Stayed here one night. Although the room faced the highway it was quiet. Room was clean and beds comfortable. Sink drained very slow but as I left them a note I assume that has been fixed. Did not have a theme room so I can not comment on those. We would absolutely stay here again.

Cute, clean, quaint motel and room itself. Microwave, fridge were clean, towels looked close to new. Small things like could use new carpet. No breakfast, but close to main town and gas station. Good for pets, lots grass near and around motel.

The appearance from the outside does not reflect the clean, cozy, hospitality of our stay. Would recommend it. It's affordable, very neat and clean. We will be back soon for another stay at the Bluebird!!

Friends recommended Bluebird Motel and insisted we ask for a theme room. Some of the options are: Calgary Stampede, Gone Fishing and RCMP. Being a last minute reservation the theme rooms were all booked but we were offered a small room beside the office for a lower price. We were absolutely delighted with our quaint heritage room. The bed had... More

We have always stayed here while in Claresholm , but it is really showing the lack of necessary upkeep even for an older motel. When we arrived ( reserved) we had no face clothes, soap, hand towels or coffee. There is a coffee machine in the room but even after housekeeping was in the next day , still no coffee... More

Our room was the "Gone Fishing" themed cabin. We loved it. Two other themed cabins were occupied by family members for this trip "Mom's Room" and "The Bunk House". All the staff at the Bluebird Motel were very friendly and responsive to our requests and made the stay there feel very nice. When we need to travel to the Claresholm,... More

This was our second stay (7/2014 and 2/2016) at the Bluebird Motel and both times the rooms were clean, comfortable and quiet. We stayed in the Gene Autry suite and thoroughly enjoyed the nostalgia. We will definitely stop again on our way through Alberta.
