First time here and I would highly recommend it. The customer service experience was top notch! My room was large, very modern and aesthetically pleasing. The entire room was very clean and the bathroom was tastefully decorated. I would definitely stay here again if I was coming through Cold Lake in the future. One more thing...the price was extremely reasonable!!
Stayed for May Long due to covid 19 restrictions. I was pleasantly surprised at the recent renovations. The room was beautiful and I loved the little kitchenette and the deep bathtub. So nice to have everything new! I especially appreciate I was able to bring my dog. The pet fee is only $25 per stay so it’s great. Also the millennium walking trail runs along the street so a great place to walk the dog in the morning. My only complaint is the walls are very thin. It’s an older building so not much can be done about this. I woke up to my dog barking at midnight because people were being loud enough we could hear talking and laughing through the walls. I did wonder why do they book rooms so close together when it it’s not busy (due to covid and the economy) ? Would be nice to have some spacing between guests when it’s quiet like this. Otherwise a fantastic stay!…
It was the only motel available for the Cold Lake Airshow and after reading the reviews I was a little nervous. I then realized that the last reviews were back in 2014 . We were very pleased with our accommodations, the motel has been totally updated and exceeded our expectations. We will staying here again for the next air show.
This is an old building that has the basics and is functional but not comfortable/ enjoyable. The non-smoking rooms smell faintly of decades-old cigarette smoke anyway. There is a flat panel TV with a decent cable lineup, a wall-unit air conditioner (not central air), a microwave, a mini-fridge, dishes and cutlery, a small enduring table, and a desk. The bedding is old-style sheet with throw with comforter, as opposed to the modern cleaner-feeling duvet system. The room door has a deadbolt but no latch; a latch would make it feel safer given that the room door opens to the outdoors and not into an indoor building. I stayed there in summer and did not see any bugs inside.
Had a mix up as asked for a non smoking room and got a smoking they said it had been cleaned but you could smell smoke as soon as you entered., They could not change rooms as was full they were willing to bring in an ecologizer in but I would have to leave for 1/2 hour. They did call back later and say that they would move me the next day to a non smoking room which they did. The room layout was great 2 beds, fridge, microwave, dishes. For the price value the room was good. IN a good area close to restaurants and box stores. I would go back, I had pets liked the fact of being on the ground floor.
If you are looking for affordable in Cold Lake this is a nice place. Your door opens to outside, which not everyone likes, but what we prefer. There is no bar so quiet at night - more so in the back of the motel of course, away from traffic. Rooms are good - we have a microwave and small bar fridge, coffee maker, desk and dresser plus a little table with 2 chairs to eat at and most importantly a BBQ outside for anyone to use if you don't want to eat at a restaurant every night! (If you are staying for work.) (Unrelated to the motel itself - taxi driver told me not to walk downtown alone at night. The motel is away from downtown area.)
2 queen bed room had lots of room. Bed comfortable. Room was clean but there were some stains on the carpets. Bathroom was clean. Fridge and micrwave. A/C was a little noisy but it worked. Good location for easy access to many areas. It is an older hotel but it has been kept in good shape. It's not fancy but it worked just fine for a few nights stay. Pet friendly.
I was very reluctant at first not knowing what it would be like. The room was fine clean and affordable !!
We've stayed at this motel a few times, this past stay was over the Christmas holidays. It is an older motel, but very clean - impeccable in fact. The rooms are standard, but even the regular rooms come with a small fridge, microwave and some simple dishes so if you want to bring a few snacks with you or quick easy meal items at least you get a fridge and microwave. What we are very happy with though is the fact this is a pet friendly motel. The fee is only $25 - and we have 2 dogs. We have never had any problems at this motel, the staff are very nice and as mentioned, the rooms are very clean. My only minor issue is the beds - the rooms all seem to have 2 double beds. We are used to our king size at home and it would nice to at least see rooms with a queen or even a king size bed. Other wise though I would not hesitate to encourage people to stay here - it is "no frills" but it is pet friendly, clean and the staff are excellent.…
