Detailed Reviews
From booking our two rooms with the friendly front counter staff, to a quick check-in, then a fantastic stay with comfy beds & pillows in a very clean room and finally a sweet send-off goody bag for our three grandkids... we were impressed all around! They had a complementary breakfast with something for everyone. The pool, hot-tub and water slide were a hit with our kids and grand-kids.
It was extremely windy upon our arrival in the hotel parking lot and the wind flung the door of the SUV back into my grandson's head, cutting it open. While I was checking in my daughter came in with a screaming kid. They were calm and told us where the bathroom was. When we came out they had a bandaid waiting. Unfortunately he needed stitches and had to go to the hospital, but the front desk staff helped to calm us.
The rooms were large and there was plenty of room in the bathroom. My daughter's family forgot to bring shampoo & conditioner, but were happy to see huge bottles of Dove shampoo, conditioner and body wash right there when they pulled back the curtain.
The bar fridge held everything from our cooler including the ice packs in the little freezer at the top. Having a microwave to warm up leftovers from home for our first evening was helpful to save some money & time after our five hour drive here. The bar sink was perfect so that we did not have to wash our dishes in the bathroom.
Thank you to the entire staff. We travel a lot and it was completely evident to us the staff at this hotel work hard to maintain very high standards throughout the entire building. We will be back next summer!!

The staff were very friendly. The pool area was a lot of fun for the kids. The breakfast was the best hotel breakfast I've ever had. The room was great and very convenient being on the ground floor as it made loading and unloading the vehicle so much easier. The beds were very comfortable and the room was clean.

Bed is super comfy and place is clean but imagine my surprise when I got back to my room at the end of day and the bed wasn't made. There was a printed note on the bed in a plastic case "We'd like to change your sheets but you left some personal items on the bed which prevented us from doing so" or words to that effect.
What personal items you might ask? Something questionable perhaps? Something nasty?
No My jammies
And the carpet needed vacuuming and there were dirty dishes in the sink
Now, in fairness, the bathroom was clean
I called reception and was told that housekeeping couldn't pick up my jammies because they were my personal items, that they didn't vacuum unless I asked and it wasn't housekeeping that washed the glasses and cups.
I felt for a minute as if I had dropped into an alternate universe
There you go Happy travels

Hello, Thank you for your review. We always appreciate when our guests take time out their busy days to let us know how their time was. With housekeeping we ask our house keeping team to not touch anything that is a guest personal item. PJ's , shoes, jewelry etc. It is all a personal item to us. This is to ensure that all guest items are left where the guest puts there item. We never know if personal items are placed there for a reason. With dishes housekeeping will not touch them unless asked or if its a check out. We ask at check in if stays are needed as this is by request only as some guests still do not like having daily housekeeping. We will write down the request specifically to ensure the guest need is met. I was also notified by the housekeeper of this as well. I will speak with my housekeeping and front desk staff to ensure this is better managed for the future. Thank you again for your review. Have a wonderful day.

We have limited income and can only take a very short vacation every 2 years. I did everything I could to ensure the vacation would be great. We chose this hotel for the pool and hot tub. We were able to use the facilities the first night we were there but the second night and our last morning it was closed because a child in the pool vomited and dedicated in the pool. I understand that this is not the hotels fault but still it truly reduced the pleasure of our holiday.
When I made the reservation I was very clear that we had 2 small service dogs and was assured this would not be a problem. They wear service vests, and they are very visible. The only eating establishment we had a problem with taking them in was your dining room. Both mornings we were approached and told dogs were not permitted in there and we had to point out the obvious, they are service dogs. The second morning it was the assistant manager who approached us and did not even come up to our table but stood back about 3 or 4 feet and spoke loud enough for the whole place to hear that dogs were not permitted. I advised him that they were service dogs. This was very embarrassing. At least the lady from the dining room staff on the first day actually came to our table and did not announce to the whole room what she was doing. Even though the people around us heard her. When we go into an establishment and they have their vests on we do not make a production of it, they sit or lay under the table and do not approach any persons. They do not make a sound. At the same time as he was telling us this the people working at the front desk were watching. You could tell they had a conversation about it after.
The second day we were there we picked up a few snacks at the store. When we went to put them in the fridge there was left over food from previous guests. This made me look at the rest of the room and wonder what had not been cleaned. There was so much dust on top of the microwave etc that I could write in it. This also explained why the lotion in the bathroom was empty.
We did get a small credit on our bill but this did not make our stay more tolerable nor does it encourage us to come back or recommend this hotel to anyone.
Very disappointed

Dear Calgary Travels, We would like to sincerely apologize for your recent experience at our property and are saddened to hear that you were less than satisfied with your stay. Thank you for bringing this situation to our attention as we pride ourselves in our customer service, cleanliness of our location, and guest amenities we provide. We do apologize for you feeling as though you were being spoken to loudly in our breakfast area. I have spoken with that person to ensure he is aware of his volume when speaking. We have to make sure when a concern is brought up with a pet in the breakfast area that we quickly address the situation. There was no papers stating the pets were service animals so we quickly wanted to touch base with you to make sure as they were under the table and we couldn't see a vest at that time. Furthermore I will ensure better communication between all of our team members by making sure they are putting important guest notes in our communication log, and getting the proper papers for service animals and make sure all of our team members are checking it everyday so this does not happen again. I have spoken with our housekeeping team about the expectations when cleaning a room, and have provided them with a checklist to follow to prevent this mistake from happening again. I would like to state that we are working diligently to maintain our pools cleanliness to ensure its safety for all our guests. We do apologize for the unexpected incident that did occur in our pool area. As per Alberta Health Services we have to close our pool area so we can clean and treat our pool so that our guests can come back in and enjoy that amenity. I hope you will give us an opportunity to correct these issues. We strive to create a welcoming, clean, and accommodating environment. Thank you, Thalia Bulanhagui General manager

The main selling points for a price of $312 per night were, Pool / hot tub, gym and a great breakfast.
The pool / hot tub , closed. Gym felt and looked unclean. Breakfast as basic as it comes and the room very dated.

This hotel has the best customer service! The rooms and hotel are spotless and the pool area was being managed carefully by the staff to ensure the max people was not over the limit. Great location to spend time in Waterton as well as Lake Beauvais. You won't be disappointed. As a note, this hotel overlooks and is right next to a Walmart - but the good news is that you can pick up towels if you forgot them for the lake and food and water at a reasonable price.

We had a well lit, good-sized room with four comfortable chairs, a mini-fridge (no freezer), microwave, and a second sink. The bathroom was not well lit but had plenty of counter space. The toilet was low. The shower head was powerful and the tub was rather slippery. The bed was comfortable. We had a pretty good breakfast with hot items, but the attendants had a hard time keeping up with the demand.

The Ramada by Wyndham Pincher Creek was a beautiful, comfortable and friendly stay. We enjoyed a large king room with a hide-a-bed couch which was great for eating the hot breakfast in our room. We were pleased with the very affordable $15/pet nightly fee which allowed our dog to stay with us.
Our only wish were that COVID not be a problem so we could have eating dinner with our friends in our room instead of in the windy parking lot as a local farm decided to fertilize a field which the wind blew towards us.

Our family has been placed into the 2nd floor room, overlooking the parking Under this room the furnace technical room is located. The operating machines give noise and significant vibration to the hotel room.
Also, the air-conditioners for the whole hotel building are located under the room.
The tubes, which bring gases/fumes outside, are located near the room window.
The building code must be checked to see if humans can breathe from that single window with these gases from the tubes.
The pool, hot tub, water slide and breakfast were nice.

After over a year of being stuck in Calgary, my husband surprised me by booking a two-night stay here for a simple weekend away. For the $230 per night fee, we expected something a tad more than basic.
The staff were nothing but exemplary and I want to acknowledge that. For some reason, we were assigned to a room designated for disabled people, which I didn’t object to although a bath tub would have been nice. The room was very spacious and clean enough. It was just nothing special for the price.
Additionally, our king size bed was like sleeping on a trampoline- when one person moved, the motion was transferred and it was really disruptive to a decent sleep.
Once in bed, there was a loud banging within the walls which we assumed was from the pipes of another room upstairs during a bath or shower. This occurred both nights. Very little to no soundproofing and we often heard the galloping of the kids upstairs last thing at night and early in the morning. Final caveat: do not expect the wifi signal to be strong or consistent. Ours was painfully slow, spotty and extremely frustrating. Maybe the hotel had a lot of other guests trying to use the wifi at the same time but it was brutal. Better reception and speed while texting in the highway!
Breakfast was fine and the coffee good. Staff cheerful and helpful even during the morning rush of 35+ people. Additional, less crowded room is available for those who are uncomfortable being in close quarters with others during pandemic.
Overall, our stay was fine but disappointing.

Hi there,
Our hockey team didn't attend until the late afternoon however, I believe the check in time is 11:00. They are very accommodating, so I'm sure if you called in advance to request an earlier time they may be able to adjust your time. I hope this helps.
