After a week of back country work it was great to hang out at Grandview Stage. The Wednesday night open mic was on and they had some great entertainment. The food in the restaurant was perfect. Definitely comfort food and lots of it. Thanks for the great stay.
We were really hungry, so stopped in for a mid-afternoon lunch. Service was great, quaint “cowboy” decor. The menu was the usual burgers, sandwiches, daily specials and on Friday & Saturday they do a prime rib special. We just got a burger and fries, and wow — it sure hit the spot !! Best hand-cut fries we’ve ever had. Real hand-made beef patties with all the fixin’s on a pretzel bun. It was really good. We also had a glass of wine and a Caesar to go with it. Also checked out the store. It’s got some neat giftware, a few groceries, cold beer, fireworks and lots of flavours of hard ice cream. Sometimes they have entertainment. There are cottages available to rent. It’s about 7 km outside of Rocky Mountain House — quite easy to see if you’re travelling south on Hwy 752, but tricky to catch it when you’re heading north — we had to turn around to go back. Definitely give it a try! We weren’t disappointed. …
This gem is located a few minutes from Rocky mountain house. The staff were friendly and a pleasure to talk with. The restaurant had great food and the prices were terrific. My cabin was amazing. Clean, rustic and spacious
Our family was travelling from a long way to attend a family members funeral and we had booked here because we could all stay together. They overbooked and bumped 3 of our groups so they had to find rooms in Rocky Mountain House, We were told the restaurant was open at 7 a.m.but wasnt they were open at 11 the same time as checkout. The cabins were nothing special, threadbare sheets, shower heads that didnt work, fireplace that had been ripped out of the wall. Would not ever recommend staying here.
Cabins overall were fine. The first one we got was infested with flies so were given another cabin. The owner gave us a $10 voucher to use at the restaurant. But the 2nd cabin he knowingly gave us had no heat. When we told them this he just said sorry and gave us a space heater. It took us 2-3 hrs. to heat the cabin using the heater and turning on the stove. The heater was sufficient for the rest of the time. They should not be renting out cabins with no heat in October in Alberta period. There was no offer of a discount so overall we were disappointed. Will not return or recommend.
