I just never wanted to leave - we stayed one night in the Summer Thyme cottage. Everything was just perfect. The cottage is like something out of a story book. The owners are lovely people who go out of their way to make sure you are comfortable. I’m hoping to make it back that way in the future and will definitely be stopping by here again. Highly recommend you stay here rather than a hotel . The experience will delight you

On arrival all seemed well enough, but as we settled in, we discovered the cottage was not as clean as it should have been. From crumbs in the microwave, to dried up spills on the kitchenette cabinet and table, to a couple of missed spots on the toilet and in the tub, the place was in need of a more thorough cleaning. I did share our feedback about the cleanliness with the owners when we checked out. The owners seemed surprised and tried to imagine what happened: a storm from the previous day/night (even though there were guests the night before us anyway), and suspecting that a visitor had used the bathroom before we checked in. However, rooms should be cleaned after the last visitor/guest has used them, and there is no reason not to conduct a quality check after a storm if they tend to blow in debris through the screened-in area. There are heaters in the cabin proper (the bedroom) as well as in the bathroom. But you do pass through the screened-in kitchenette to get from one to the other, so it's worthwhile packing a pair of slippers if you stay over on a colder night. Note about the wifi: It is indeed free, but has a limited range. I could only get it to work near the front door of the cottage. And finally: while it was not advertised at the time of our booking, the owner said that guests have the option to opt out of the continental breakfast that they put in the fridge. The owner offered us this discount when we checked out, which was appreciated. It may be worthwhile asking for this in advance and picking up your own breakfast favourites at one of the grocery stores in Rocky Mountain House.

This was an unexpected treat just outside of Rocky Mountain House. We had a lovely little cabin, complete with antiques and a very clean and modern kitchen. Our breakfast supplies were left in the fridge including newly- picked Saskatoon for our oatmeal.

I could wake up here every day! Most relaxing overnight stay I've ever had. We rented the small, single cottage. It's small but perfect for 2 people. Sat in the tiny "living room" area in front of the screened porch for almost 3 hours in the evening just listening to the sounds of nature and the stream. Cabin was nice and well kept - a bit of a rustic feel. This cabin has no air conditioner and it was a bit hot at first but cooled very quickly as evening set and got cold overnight. We got to take a peek at the other suites and they had air conditioning and seemed quite nice. Beautiful property! Only wish there would have been some developed walking trails to explore a bit more. Highly recommend to anyone wanting a quiet stay in a no frills cabin setting.
