Detailed Reviews
We stayed at this hotel for one night, and the front desk staff were amazing—extremely accommodating and making sure our room was fully equipped for accessibility, including a shower chair for my cousin’s use. Check-in and check-out were a breeze.
We booked the room with three double beds, which was perfect since we each had our own bed. The room had a Keurig single-serve coffee machine, so we stopped by Safeway to grab extra coffee for the morning. They also provided sugar, Coffee-Mate, and a small bar fridge.
The hotel was clean and quiet, and in the morning, they offered a well-stocked breakfast buffet. It included sausage, scrambled eggs, toast, waffles with all the toppings, along with hot chocolate, tea, coffee, and various juices.

The room was spacious and comfortable. The complimentary breakfast was average. The layout of the food area was non-efficient. There should be a separate back room for the hotel staff to wash dishes and prepare food. A sink and dishwasher next to the waffle station is an inconvenience to both guests and staff. The breakfast hostess was trying to unload the dishwasher while I was making waffles. We were both in each other's way but made the best of it. Who thought of this plan?

Thank you for your feedback. We do appreciate all comments and suggestions from our guests. Our breakfast area is an extremely busy area at times and has limited space. Our breakfast selections have expanded to offer more options. We do offer seating for our guests in our meeting room. We apologize for not meeting your expectations and hope that in future we see you stay with us again.

My husband and I went here to unwind and spend our time hiking in fishing in the surrounding area. Since we hadn't had the chance to celebrate our anniversary earlier in the year, we decided to splurge and get the largest room with a secondary room containing a living room and fireplace. The bedroom had a king size bed and was so comfortable we decided to prolong our stay from 3 nights to 5 nights. The hot breakfast buffet had great variety. Darcy who works the front desk took great care of us. This hotel is very clean, and the staff are friendly. The mini fridge in the room didn't have a freezer but we were able to keep our ice packs for our cooler in the hotel eating area and could access at anytime. Thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and look forward to returning next year.

Although the staff were generally pleasant, my stay wasn’t the best. They put me on the 2nd floor in a room with a king sized bed about half way down the hallway. My co-worker had a similar room at the end of the hallway. The bed in my original room was inadequate so I asked for another and they didn’t have one. It was a full house and they weren’t open to changing rooms with those who hadn’t checked in yet. I pulled out the sofa bed and it was just as uncomfortable as the bed. Luckily my co-worker exchanged rooms with me so I wouldn’t leave and go stay at the Best Western but that room was near the stairs and you could hear everyone running up and down the stairs as well as the people in the room above walking back and forth. The bed was more comfortable but all the pillows were hard and bulky. There was no soap in the room and the shampoo was partially filled, obviously not changed at cleaning and there was a room key left on the shelf. The breakfast area around 8 a.m. on Saturday was chaos and the scrambled eggs were disgusting. I went earlier on Sunday to beat the rush. There were no tongs for bread on Saturday either. The other downfall was you couldn’t shut the a/c -heat off. I had to unplug it from the wall. For what they charge to stay there I would expect better.

Started booking this hotel last fall for a wedding. They never lost my reservation. I received the room I had asked for 8 months earlier. We also had an emotional support dog that was no charge. Front desk ladies were friendly and very helpful. Check in was not painful at all. Off to the rooms. We stayed in 329 which was right across from the elevator but was amazingly quiet. Beds were comfortable and the room very clean. This hotel has a pool with water slide that is open from 8 am until 10 pm. For your enjoyment in the morning there is a self serve hot breakfast. Only thing they need to do is have someone there ALL the time to clear and sanitize the tables, make sure there was bread and make sure everyone could find everything.
I would definitely stay here again!

Booked very last minute. Was treated amazingly by the evening staff and the morning staff.
Having tea and coffee available at all times in lobby was so helpful.
Rooms were very clean and well stocked. Nice big pillows.
Most hotels have generic hygiene products, the Canalta has dove soap, lotion and shampoo.
Breakfast was a feast.
Would absolutely stay here again.

Hotel was nice, room comfortable and staff friendly. I found it odd that the coffee machine was in the room but no coffee or mugs. It would have been safer to serve myself coffee in the room rather than go to a public space and pour myself coffee from canisters that had been touch by everyone in the hotel. These canisters were not wiped down. The breakfast was served by a very hardworking staff member. It might have been a better idea if she handed out the utensils rather than everyone handling the utensil dispensing machine. They were working hard at their COVID protocols but missed cleaning a few high traffic touch points.

We stayed 3 nights this past week. The biggest thing that stood out to me at this hotel was the friendly staff! Every time we passed a staff member, they greeted us, helpful for everything we needed, willing to chat... I'm not sure I've ever stayed in a hotel with all around friendly staff.
The hotel was very clean, comfortable beds, awesome and clean pool area, great breakfast and easy check in/out. My only complaint would be, having a room by the elevator is noisy. Other guests are not considerate with talking/hallway noise in the late evenings (I'm talking after 10pm) and early mornings (starting 530am).
If we are ever in the area again, this will be our hotel of choice.

My mom and I stayed here for a mother/daughter trip for a couple of nights and were very impressed with the staff, hotel and service we received. The room was spotless and very large, with two queen beds, sofa, and armchair. The location was perfect as it wasn't right in the centre of town but was also walkable to Boston Pizza and Tim Hortons. The toiletries came pre-packaged for each person, due to Covid, and we also received a hot breakfast that was dished out for us. The staff was excellent and I would definitely recommend a stay here!

The best part about this hotel was the staff. They were incredibly friendly and welcoming. The lobby had an overwhelming smell of chlorine from the pool the moment you walked past the front desk. They do have a little area where you can buy food and beverages in the lobby.
I got into my room late at night. The rooms were dated but seemed ok. I found the bed incredibly hard and uncomfortable. They do have a variety of pillows so there is something for everyone.
I took a shower in the morning and realized how dirty the room was. The shower had hair in it and there was dirt that was not cleaned off. There was also the wrapping from soap or something behind the toilet. I’m glad I didn’t see that until I was about to leave.
The furnace/AC also wasn’t working properly. The screen had a wrench on it and it just kept blowing AC at top power. If I wasn’t so tired I would have called the front desk for a new room.
This hotel was alright but definitely not worth the price paid. If there was that much cleaning missed in the bathrooms I would hate to see what else isn’t getting cleaned.

Thank you for your feedback, my sincerest apologies for the issues you experienced during your stay. I will be sharing your review with my team as the cleanliness issues you saw are not our standard and will be addressed. In regards to the thermostat, the wrench is an error and doesn't actually signify anything. Those thermostats are very confusing for our guests and we are working at replacing them. I am happy to hear my team was very friendly to you. We hope you'll come back and experience our true hospitality.
