Great communication with the staff prior to my stay in order to meet my requirements. Very friendly staff at check-in. I stayed in the south section of the facility (painted beige) and it has been newly/recently renovated. Now this is just a simple 2 star road side motel, but I was impressed at how neat, tidy, clean and hygienic the motel was. It's a very simple room, no paintings hanging or anything like that, but it has everything you need: cable TV, good WiFi, fridge, freezer, microwave, coffee machine, and a comfortable bed and clean linens. Highly recommended. Excellent value for money. I'll stay here again on my next trip through RMH.
I received an e-mail on the day of my arrival that I cancelled the hotel reservation. I did not do such thing. I called Voyager motel in Rocky Mountain Hose on Monday to confirm the registration. The clerk said that since I booked online, I am guaranteed the room in the motel. However, on Tuesday, the day of my arrival, I called the motel again 1 hour before our arrival and was told that the motel management cancelled my reservation. The reason was that they had a lot of no shows and they were completely booked. And that they notified me at 11: 00 am on Tuesday. I did not check my e-mails, since I was already on the road. After that shocking news, I checked my e-mails and indeed, there was a message from Hotels. com telling me that they are sorry to hear that my plans changed and if this is true that I cancelled my reservation. Obviously, it was not true. I pressed the prompt "no", but it was not even connecting to me to the web page. In addition, motel clerk said that my credit card did not work. This is absolutely not true, because I am using the same card to do all my on-line purchases. I have never experience such unprofessional-ism. What is happening to Alberta? This is unacceptable, to leave guests like that stranded, without nowhere to have a night sleep. I was travelling with family, including my 84 year old mom. Everything was completely booked in Nordegg and Rocky Mountain House. How can a person who supposedly trained in client relation, arbitrarily cancel the legitimate motel reservation on the day of the arrival? Who trained this person? There is not even a place on the motel's website to leave a comment. Plus, the same manager is abusing the Hotel.com website. He cancelled my reservation through the Hotel.com without notifying me and made it look like I cancelled the reservation in the last moment. I am outraged. This is like the third world country, where the consumers do not have any rights or trust in the businesses.…
Booked because of relatively low price, and our simple needs (an overnight rest stop). Didn't disappoint. Sonny was friendly owner, our room was upstairs, clean, 2 comfortable double beds, new bathroom, smoke free, everything worked including good WiFi. Good value.
My stay was good, I was only there for a couple days it was very clean and the manager was very professional, I stayed in a newly renovated section and I stayed on the top floor had no disturbances was good value for your money
This place is easy to find and served us really well. The guy on the desk was very friendly and helpful. The room was modern, very clean and comfortable. The walls are a bit thin so you can hear the trucks starting up early. For the price this place is great, breakfast is not included but we would definitely stay again.
